Piano Chord Book: 480 Essential Chords

I’m very happy with this purchase! The Piano Chord Book arrived in perfect condition and the delivery was faster than I expected. The quality of the book is excellent and it went beyond my expectations. I absolutely love it and I’m very excited to start using it to improve my piano skills. Not only does it include all major and minor chords, but it also covers chord inversions, which are very important for learning how to play smoothly. What impressed me the most is that it clearly shows what to do with both the left hand and the right hand, making it much easier to understand and practice. I recommend it 100 percent.

There are actually 240 chords in this book, with first inversion for each (except diminished which shows both inversions, and no inversion for 7sus4). Still, 20 different chords for each note in the chromatic scale is quite impressive. They are: major triad, augmented, sus4, maj6, dominant 7th, maj7, maj7b3, maj7b5, minor triad, min6, min7, min7b5, min(maj7), dim, 7sus4, dim7, 7aug, dominant 9th (which is 7(add9)), maj9 (maj7(add9)), and min9 (min7(add9)). Great value.

All well done. This Piano Chord Book left no notes untouched. Many years ago I went to a school to learn chords to help me play the piano. However, I did not have a book that I recall, maybe a limited amount of information. I did learn some chords more like the beginning stage of learning. This Chord book is very informative to learning.

This was not shipped in a box. It was shipped in a bag. Because of this, the book arrived with the front cover bent and torn near the bottom and the first handful of pages are similarly bent, as if the entre book were grasped and folded inward a bit. The contents of the book itself are great, it has some basic piano tips and info near the start such as hand placement and the difference between major and minor chords. I do wish they chose a different color scheme to go with when coloring the piano keys in each chord description. They use a light blue for the left hand, which shows up just fine. But they opt for a dark purple to highlight piano keys for the right hand. This blends in FAR too much with the black keys and it's difficult to see unless your room is very well illuminated. I feel like red or orange would've been better choices to pair with blue.

There are only two chords on each page so you have to search al lot of pages to find one chord, and when you're trying to find an augmented.or diminished chord. Also, the picture of each keyboard has the smae chord twice, in 2 different colors, signifying LEFT HAND from RIGHT HAND... completely superfluous, and it ads to the difficulty in deciphering the finger placement. I gave it a 3 because the price is good if you have a tight budget, or if you just need it for a short time, or just a quick reference book.

Really good reference book with some tips for beginners too.. saw some got torn books but mine was in great condition. I would add the circle of 5ths and how to use to make even better!

The book’s matter is nice and satisfying but the cover of this book is scratched and torn. Looks like it’s already used by someone.
