The Number One New York Times Bestseller! Debut author Drew Daywalt and international bestseller Oliver Jeffers team up to create a colourful solution to a crayon-based crisis in this playful, imaginative story that will have children laughing and playing with their crayons in a whole new way. Poor Duncan just wants to colour in. But when he opens his box of crayons, he only finds letters, all saying the same thing: We quit! Beige is tired of playing second fiddle to Brown, Blue needs a break from colouring in all that water, while Pink just wants to be used. Green has no complaints, but Orange and Yellow are no longer speaking to each other. The battle lines have been drawn. What is Duncan to do? A Childrens Bookshelf Selection : Each month our editors pick the best books for children and young adults by age to be a part of the childrens bookshelf. Review: Such an amazing read - I am amazed at how creatively this book is written by the author . Great illustrations too. I got this for my 4years old and I ended up loving it. She likes it too. At first she did not get the context of the book, but slowly she is trying to understand. But she loves to listen to me reading this for her. Probably kids age above 5 or 6 may able to understand and enjoy this even more. Review: Most innovative interpretation of Crayons - This is the most hilarious books I have read. The innovative way of imagining each colour's emotions are so strong and intriguing that it kind of makes you respect the crayons after this. The illustrations by Oliver Jeffers and the Story line both are a perfect match. The best way to read this book is to read each crayon's letter in the book in a different voice to bring in some more realism to it.

A different story and apt for toddlers who use crayons.
It's a lovely book, good quality paper. Bigger than I expected. Its a different story about crayons hence got it to add to my 3 year Olds collection. I'm hoping she enjoys it as we read it more often. The book is in a letter format written by the crayons to their own we Dunken.

Raised the bar of my expectations.
I never thought that a book can be so interesting. This is the favourite book of my daughter and this book has ignite her interest in the books. Now she have more than 10 books in her personal library and she is just 6. Just a single problem that I want to mention. This book makes the search for other new books harder because you can't find another book that can compete.

Want to have a family laughter riot- get this book
Don't we all have complains in real life? Can we not wade through them with a bit of satire? What a distinct style of writing. There is satire in every page, something I did not find so often in children's book. Everyone has a compaint. While one crayon feels it is overused, the other remains unused. Someone does not need to be used while the other does not want to used only in a specific way. Somebody is misunderstood, someone is naked, a few are having a quarrel and a good friend is trying to mediate the fight. I could not stop myself from laughing while reading this book. The entire family has fun everytime I read this book aloud, including my toddler who likes to be funny. Not just the text, but also the presentation is very very unique. It feels like somebody has taken out handwritten pages from a very old worn-out diary, scanned them and got them printed. Each drawing reminds me of my own childhood days and what waits ahead as my toddler earns the craft. Really, of you want to have a funny moment with the family, get this book and read it aloud.

Emotional Crayon Book for every kid
My daughter is 20 months old and enjoyed this book so much. I usually read by her name instead of Duncan and she like it so much. She started taking the color recommendation so seriously that she started coloring inside the line and making black beach balls. This is absolute book for each kids who know crayon and i believe every kid should read this once in a lifetime. Even adult would enjoy too. Book had good pictures and beautiful illustration by Drew Daywalt. These two guys did great job making this book successful and awareness of color to kids.

Nice one
