Works very good, easy to use to strain out the bacon pieces, etc. to get only bacon grease which will allow you to keep the bacon grease fresh longer. I've used it several time and it seems to be pretty durable and easily washes up in the sink and the dishwasher. Looks nice. I do not store my bacon grease in this, I pour the bacon grease into a jar that seals and keep in the refrigerator.

I got my first grease saver back in the 1990's to go with my Makin Bacon, which were both lost in our last move, So happy to find Amazon still had them. The new Bacon Grease Saver Container is improved and should last a long, long time, I love the addition of the silicone on the outside bottom to keep the container more stable when filling, The strainer with the little handle is great! No more "cracklins" in your saved bacon grease. I bought the container without the outside handle to save space in my small refrigerator but I can see where it would save the possibly of burned fingers if the grease was too jot when poured inside. If you love keeping your bacon grease for cooking/favoring your food, you will be happy with this container.

I recommend you get this if you save bacon grease to flavor whatever. I has a strainer. It is small but the right size for me. It looks good and is sturdy. Cleaning is a breeze.

I just received this item but will be returning it today...I have a Gran Pappy deep fryer (that has a lid for oil storage) that holds a maximum of 6 cups of oil...I was hoping to use this product to filter used oil to be used again at a later time...However, this is not big enough to hold all of the oil I would need to filter without doing it about two times which means I would need to dirty up another container to hold the filtered oil in order to pour out the remaining oil for filtering...I liked that it didn't have handles as I was planning to store it inside of my deep fryer to help save on space...The container itself holds about 4 cups of liquid but if you're straining using the filter, you probably can only get away with 3 cups instead...This product seems to be best for grease drippings as stated in its description

I have two, one for pork grease, the other for beef grease. Both work fine.

Good screen. Good size. Needs a handle or a silicone sleeve. Very slippery.
