Everybody's happy.
Delighted with this purchase. Easy to set up and even easier to view the photos. Couldn't be more pleased. We needed a non-WIFI version and this works exactly as described. The really cool part is the picture quality. It's crisp and clear. We focused it on our driveway and discovered that the 'neighborhood kids' who were leaving acorns on top of our truck actually had 4 legs and bushy tails. Squirrels. The squirrels were sitting on the hood and eating acorns. I guess that's their version of dining out. The neighborhood kids were just riding by on their scooters. The dogs are delighted because they now have something new to bark at. We're delighted because we don't actually have drive by acornings. The squirrels are delighted because our neighbors have an oak tree in their front yard. The trail camera is delighted because it has something to take pictures of. Everybody's happy.

Perfect OLD SCHOOL trailcams without the subscriptions and nonsense!
It's becoming increasingly difficult to find things that don't have WIFI and monthly subscriptions attached. The cellular ones that I bought first wouldn't work on my property because our phones have to be connected to starlink in order to work, so the trailcams were useless. THESE WORK PERFECTLY, so I finally got to see the black bear that keeps knocking down the corner of my fence!! THANK YOU!!! (also, NO SUBSCRIPTIONS, no waiting for it to connect, it's old school and works without all the nonsense!

Rain or shine, this trail camera works.
Good video quality, easy setup, secure program password on every restart. My only complaint is the video length is limited to 10 seconds...that's it. Other cameras that I have in this price range have greater range and quality of photos and videos. I don't notice any difference in the claimed trigger speed of 0.1 second vs. 0.2 trigger speed in my other cameras. In this price range it would be a good starter trail camera.

Great value.
For the price I was blown away at the quality of the photos and videos. Easy to set up and use. I plan on buying a second one.

Disappointed in this game camera!
I'm a huge wildlife game camera hobbyist and I have multiple game cameras deployed for wildlife viewing and footage. I saw someone posted the images of one of these cameras and I thought they looked really sharp, so I decided to purchase one to test out on my line-up for myself. This camera was nothing but disappointment and aggravation for me. No matter how low I set the motion settings, this thing would trip off all day and night with nothing of note in the images. Resulting in drained batteries, full SD cards of hundreds of false captures, and no images of anything of interest to show. Trigger speeds would miss wildlife. Picture quality was subpar. The field of field of view was also really weird and narrow as compared to my other camera brands set up in same locations. I finally got tired of dealing with it and took it off the line. I did notice it is basically the exact same design and function of Meidase cameras, which I have several of those, and have been pleased with their performance, but this GardePro one really sucked. Glad I only purchased the one to test out versus several at once as I had originally planned on doing.

Great Cameras and Killer Prices
I've used a lot of different kinds of trail cameras, Moultrie, Exodus, a few Spartans, BlackGate and most recently Tactacam... Tactacams are my cellular go to - but after using GardePro Non Cellular I'm tempted to switch over. I don't have any cameras that are as clear as these are I don't know how the cellular ones go but the fact that Moultrie and tacticam don't have this clear of pictures even with the SD card blows my mind. I left both of them out on public land for almost a year batteries were still good in both cameras and each one had captured about 400 pictures So far the best pictures I've ever gotten out of the woods lol. I research everything and try to only go with the best, to me there is no comparison especially when you add in price- like I said, I can't speak on the cellular version I wanted standalone because there's no service down there - If that's what you need don't hesitate to buy these. (That's a picture of my computer screen)

Improvements over A3 model
I've been running their A3 models for years and this is an improvement. Their menu options have always been good (certainly compared to Browning) but now they've made an effort to improve optic quality. The videos in particular look better on the A50 compared to the A3. Being able to specify both a photo and a video has been around but now you can have different video length between day and night (e.g, 30 seconds in light, 10 seconds in dark). The photos can be much larger (with big file sizes) with new optics. Sound quality very good. Nothing really different about detection motion. Battery life seems slightly less than A3 but you can change duration & wait times to adjust.Still using 8 batteries so night videos are possible. Still using full size SD cards. The strap could be thicker but the clamp is still metal. Still has the threaded hole on the bottom buy doesn't include the bolt for it. And the casting on the bottom makes it iffy to have camera sit on a table.

Was I expecting too much?
I have increased my rating now to 5 stars from the original 3 stars. In my original review I commented on the poor video quality in darkness and after about five weeks of use I decided to contact GardePro via email to ask for their guidance......I had seen another review where the reviewer had 5 cameras and 2 were replaced as not as good as the other 3.After explaining the issue GardePro asked me sent some of my videos for them to assess.Within a day or two they responded to say the IR LEDs were not functioning properly and within another couple days I had received a replacement unit which is brilliant.....very good illumination and clear nighttime videos. While there may be an issue with the consistency of quality with this product I would not hesitate to recommend it as a good one is very good and the customer support, in my experience, as been quite excellent.Well done GardePro!A relatively budget camera that needs the memory card/camera to be linked to my Mac to get acceptable video playback : the small screen on the camera as pretty useless for playing back your videos.....but for the price I am happy with that.Little niggles are that the batteries are fiddly to remove and if you don't want to lose the date/time settings make sure you switch batteries quickly.I purchased the camera primarily to watch the hedgehogs at night and the camera has certainly enabled me to do that. However, while on the highest quality video setting the picture quality is good in daylight and dusky light but in darkness the video quality is very grainy : certainly worse than I had expected from reading the spec. for the camera,The range of decent illumination is only 4 metres or so with the best videos taken just a metre or so from the feeding station. The detection delay is set to zero seconds but there is a delay of a second or two I would say.I started off using 1.2v rechargeable batteries and wondered if this was the cause of the video performance but having now fitted lithium 1.5v rechargeable batteries I can see no discernible improvement, although the battery life between charges is much better.I have not yet taken photo shots and expect maybe the picture quality will be better for these.I was tempted to give the camera four stars as for the price it is pretty good but as I wanted it primarily for nighttime video and the quality of this is pretty average I can only give it three stars.Have I got a bad one, was I expecting too much?......I don't know but I hope people find this review helpful.

Love the camera, I captured this vicious hedgehog fight on the first night!
My camera arrived yesterday and overnight i caught this amazing footage of two hedgehogs fighting! The footage is so much sharper than my old trail cam. Very happy with the quality, functions and ease of use

Not a bad bit of kit!
It's compact and appears to be waterproof. I bought a mini tripod to go with it and as its quite low to the ground, it hasn't fallen over in the wind. It does go through batteries at quite a rate, especially if you want a half decent image. It won't purely stick to videos.. keeps doing videos and photos and that's not what it's been set up on. It's definitely on videos only. It's lovely to see the animals at night and the pictures in the day are very clear. Always turn off when not in use though... save batteries. It suggested not having rechargeable ones as they don't give enough power, but think I will try as spending a lot on batteries. It's also very easy to put the sd card in the computer and view that way. I'd say I'm glad I got ยฃ20 off as still quite expensive at ยฃ80.

Amazing!
This wildlife camera far exceeded my expectations. It was very easy to set up and operate. The quality of the images and videos are brilliant. I've had mine running for 4 days now and the power still has full bars. I will be ordering another one soon!

Excellent!
First of all, this is my new favourite thing in the world! I don't like to promote consumerism but I can honestly say that my life has been enriched after getting this camera. The excitement and anticipation of viewing the high quality footage or stills is like Christmas every day. I'm lucky enough to live in a place with lots of wildlife so the biggest problem is choosing where to aim the camera. The housing is robust and waterproof (it still recorded decent night time footage even in a downpour), the quality of footage is brilliant and the sound is one of the highlights too. You may have to play around with getting your distance from the subject right depending on your settings (sensitivity/exposure capping etc) but the menu is very easy to navigate. There are loads of options and features to fully customise your setup. The strap is secure and it has a standard tripod mount thread which is very useful.Possibly the only thing that I don't like about this camera is the location of the screen; if you aren't too fussed about composition, then just turn it on and close the door, if you need to check you are pointing in exactly the right direction though, you have to do it as best you can BEFORE you mount it since the screen is in the door (which swings open away from the housing with the mounting options) but, even with this set back it's not too much of a big deal!I have used standard, Energizer rechargable batteries; if you are leaving it for a long time, or expect lots of long clips then I would go with the manufacturers recommendation of Li-ion batteries, but for me standard have been ok so far.All in all this is a wonderful product at an affordable price that gives you and incredible insight into the natural world.(The attached video is a "screenshotted" clip from a longer recording, the light coloured 'dots' at the end are my fault, not the cameras!)
