Loving this light, I am using it and an Arri HMI to shoot prices to cameras from the shade of a hotel balcony with the middle east sun lighting up the back ground. The Neewer is brighter, a lot lighter (excess baggage), a lot cheaper, has variable colour tempter, can dim, app remote operation and more. Next job I will be using 2 of these and leaving the Arri at home.

I used the NEEWER FS230B for a combined video and photo shoot at a hair salon, and honestly it overdelivered. The bi-colour range is super flexible, letting me dial in flattering tones for different skin and hair types. Whether I was capturing buttery blondes or rich, dark curls, the FS230B gave me clean, even lighting with zero harsh shadows. Perfect for showcasing intricate styling details and healthy shine in both stills and video. The build quality is solid and the setup was refreshingly quick. It runs quiet too and considering it was on for about 7hrs it was barely warm to the touch with no overheating, which is crucial when recording behind-the-scenes content with audio. Plus, the output is seriously powerful, this thing lit the whole space without needing to push it to 100%. Highly recommend this for any portrait, beauty, or commercial work. It’s a studio essential now.

Excellent light with brilliant features, but not water proof and due to the built I would not take it on a large set where things may get knocked about. But very good for low budget and independent work.

The 230B is an excellent light! I also own an Amaran 200x, and to be honest, I think this light is superior. It's cheaper, comes with its own carry case, and can be run off a V-lock battery with an adapter (sold separately), which the Amaran can’t do. (I don’t have the adapter yet, but it’s great to know it’s an option.) The app works really well—fast and responsive. If I had my time again, I’d have bought two of these instead of the more expensive Amaran. Sure, I still get the benefits of Sidus Link with both Aputure and Amaran lights, but in terms of value for money and functionality, I couldn’t be happier. Neewer really knows how to cater to the budget market while still delivering professional results. I’d buy this light again in a heartbeat.

Got 2 of these, super useful and reliable lights. They're light, have tons of functions, and Bluetooth control. They're super bright and work great for scenes and interviews. The packaging is compact and looks well made.

Great value for money. Reliable product that exceeds expectations.

Now I have used this several times I can say that for small to medium sized rooms this does throw enough light and the App is very good and easy to use. A long power lead is very helpful and the ability to run it from a v-lock battery is in some circustances a bonus, although I have not tried that yet.

This is a great light, being continuous lighting I had to change the way I photographed. The photoshoot I bought this for went really well and the clients were happy as there was no flash used. There is an app that you download and use with the system and this worked and made the shoot a lot easier
