Waited a bit to write review to see how actual use went. And I am happy to report it did reach a full 8in but I unzipped the encasement while it inflated which I personally think helped a lot. The mattress is very comfortable and cooling and I would say it is firm for foam without feeling like a rock! I bought this for van life use so if that's why you're here: would recommend, very easy to cut, you can get away with the 6in for sure and I would have ordered that one if all the reviews didn't make me skeptical it would reach full thickness. Also happy to report you can do a slat support underneath without the mattress squishing through it. In conclusion, unzip the encasement during inflation to make sure your corners and thickness don't get screwed up and this is a terrific mattress quality for the price.

I purchased the King-size mattress. It was vaccuum sealed and packaged in a large box but also small enough to fit into my Rav4 (with half the seats down in the back) to transport home. I did not detect any smell at all upon opening out of the plastic (however I don't smell as good as I used to since the last time I had Covid). I know they say to wait 24-48 hours to let the mattress fully inflate but mine was fully inflated to the full 12 inch height within 20 minutes of taking it out of the plastic - I even measured it because I thought it already looked full and yes it was exactly 12 inches after only 20 minutes. However I didn't sleep on it until the next night just because. FIRMNESS - This is a true Medium-Firm. I always thought I would like a more plush mattress but couldn't believe how much a difference in my sleep quality the firmness of this mattress made. I no longer toss and turn all night (and neither does my 4 year old!). Another major thing I love about this mattress is the motion absorbing quality. I can EASILY move and toss around and not disturb my 4 year old sleeping whatsoever if I need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. With my previous Big Lots brand mattress, you could feel and hear every move someone else in the bed made. I sleep so much better on this mattress than any other mattress I've owned in my life and don't wake up with back or neck pain in the mornings anymore. FIBERGLASS-FREE - My biggest fear was ordering an advertised fiberglass-free memory foam mattress and opening it up to finding out on the mattress tag that it would contain fiberglass (as i have seen reviewed about on other memory foam mattresses on Amazon) so that was the first thing I checked before doing anything else and behold - NO FIBERGLASS! Been sleeping on this for a few weeks now and it's been the best sleep I've ever had.

My partner and I absolutely LOVE this king sized mattress! It is vacuumed packed and in a box when received and has an outer layer of plastic that encloses the vacuumed packed mattress. As other review said, open mattress on top of platform frame because it is heavy. It fluffed up in a few hours but it did have a smell to it so we followed the instructions and left it untouched for 72 hours. As others have said, it is firm! And we love it! No more back aches! No more side-sleeping him aches! Not as cuddly when sleeping on the back as a softer mattress, but a topper will easily fix that! When looking at mattresses at a physical store previously, the sales person told us that if the memory foam mattress is too firm then you want to walk all over it until it softens up! We are not going to do this because we like the firmness but if you find yourself feeling like it is too firm, this solution makes sense to me because the memory foam does break down. Another thing I appreciate about the mattress is that the outer cover fits the mattress without the sewn creases in the wrong place. It looks perfect. As for the coolness factor... I don't think any mattress out there is cool enough for me. It does seem cooler than my previous mattress which was a hybrid, so maybe this one is cool. RECOMMEND!

Excellent! I haven't had such a good night sleep in a long time. The memory form works like a charm and I am able to do less tossing and turning. I am able to fall asleep easily and stay asleep. It was also a great price. I would highly recommend this mattress.

This mattress has just the right balance of softness and support. My girlfriend is a back sleeper, and she says it keeps her spine aligned without feeling too firm. The top layer feels soft and cozy, while the spring base underneath provides steady support that keeps everything stable through the night. One of the best parts is the motion isolation. I can finally sleep through the night without being interrupted. I barely notice when she moves around or gets in and out of bed. It’s honestly a huge difference compared to the bouncy mess we were dealing with before. Setup was super simple. It arrived vacuum-sealed in a box, and once I cut it open, it started expanding right away. I let it air out overnight just to be safe, but it was pretty much ready by the same evening. No strong smell, no issues. If you share your bed like I do, this mattress is a great choice. Comfortable, supportive, and peaceful sleep all around. Highly recommend it!

This mattress is awesome so far. Not so fancy is very basic, best buy ever for $189 with free shipping. Not like my other foam beds that fold if layed upon an edge for cleaning around or washing the zip covers. It stands upright like a frame bed. The top 2+" of memory foam is enough to not feel pressure points even on my side, facedown or on my back and it's several inches taller so less stress getting into and out but really weird i can walk on it. Almost feels like a grassy, solid, flat ground under foot... though when lying down soft. How does it do that? Might add the two inch new topper i previously bought while first moving to Colorado to see if i like that even more? This big one's SOooo comfortable alone, i can roll the topper up and use it for guests to sleep on in the livingroom in any emergencies either way if i use the old topper or not. Two hours sleep seems like about 6 to me on this though feeling better might account for some of that. i would highly recommend this for people with posture needs, back problems or side by side, sleep rollers

I gambled with this mattress. I needed something quick and I didn't have a lot to spend. This mattress was decent price and arrived quickly. I find it comfortable and it arrived quickly. As soon as I lay down I drift off to sleep. You can't see the mattress in the photos, but this is what it looks like as a fully made bed. I gave only 5 stars because I don't think it does much for helping to keep you cool. I would recommend!

I love this mattress because it’s affordable but the fabric on the top is way to cheaply made or gets worn out easily. It’s super comfy but it’s already tearing and I’ve only have had it for a month.
