Not much detail or derivation in its explanations. It's no BSL, but it will do. I like the variable summary at the end of every chapter. FYI the problems in the book line up with the non-international edition. Don't waste your money on the pricey one!

The must have book for chemical engineers who need a strong foundation on the basics.the Indian edition have inferior quality pages

Il libro tratta di fenomeni di trasporto ed operazioni unitarie. I fenomeni di trasporto sono trattati in maniera più semplice rispetto ad altri libri (es: Transport Phenomena, Bird), il che ne consente una applicazione più pratica in alcuni casi. Tra le operazioni unitarie sono trattate la distillazione, l'estrazione, gli scambiatori di calore, l'assorbimento, l'adsorbimento, ed altre (guardate le foto per tutti gli argomenti trattati). Per quanto riguarda la stampa del libro: - La qualità del libro è, per il prezzo pagato, ottima. La copertina è flessibile e non rigida; - La carta usata per la stampa è molto sottile e pertanto nella lettura di una pagina si intravede anche quanto stampato sul retro della pagina stessa. L'effetto tuttavia non è molto marcato e pertanto non risulta per nulla fastidioso (guardate le foto allegate); - Rispetto all'altro libro (Chemical Reaction Engineering) che ho acquistato dallo stesso venditore, la qualità della stampa è migliore. L'intensità del nero è la stessa su tutte le pagine, non ci sono pagine più chiare o più scure. Anche la rilegatura non presenta imperfezioni. Nel complesso, considerando quanto si risparmia rispetto alla versione "tradizionale" del libro, l'acquisto è assolutamente consigliato. Ps: Io ho ordinato il prodotto da B M Book e l'ho ricevuto in circa una settimana, davvero ottimo.

Libro ottimo anche se non eccessivamente approfondito. Carta di qualità molto superiore rispetto a quanto mi aspettassi (è pur sempre una international edition). Il libro è arrivato in condizioni ottime e molto velocemente (tre giorni invece delle due settimane previste).

This Book Covers the Engineering concepts of Fluid Mechanics, Heat transfer and its applications, Mass transfer and its applications, and Operations involving Particulate Solids in sections. Being 7th edition (Indian edition) many new unsolved problems and concepts are revised and added from various journals (i.e Number of references increased at the end of chapter), while some contents are removed, still the number of pages are more compared to 4th edition, And it is "Exactly same in content with 7th international edition" as said by other reviewers. As far as page quality is concerned it is bit lower (i.e thinner pages) compared to 4th edition (international edition), which results in reduction of book weight and total thickness, But overall Book is good in quality and content. This Book is best for Chemical Engineers.
