Carbide Burr Set 8pcs 1/4 Inch Shank Diameter Double Cut Grinding Polishing Carving Tool Drill Bits for Die Grinder

I saw this product on Project Farm on Youtube. This is what you want if you need to enbiggen (TM) a hole or make a slot, etc in carbon steel. I paired these with a corded die grinder from Harbor Freight and they work great. Great value!

Love this burr set! Idea for the weekend warrior and then some. Did lots of work cleaning up pockets i cut onto square tubing and they chipped away like a pro

The finish on these isn't perfect, but they are a great value for the price. So far they do a decent job cleaning up hard to reach areas with my die grinder. The case doesn't hold the bits in all that well and pop out on occasion when the case is tossed around which is the reason for the minus a star. The bits feel well balanced and don't cause any vibrations in the die grinder. The assortment of different bits is a nice touch and has proven useful when trying to grind various metal things around the shop. The cylindrical bits are perfect for deburring newly cut metal. Overall, a nice set of carbide bits for a good price. Would recommend.

Got a chance to use a couple of these burrs to grind into a very hard metal. They did their job, did not break. It's nice to have them in a convenient, strong case. Just open it up and see all the shapes available. Use one. Snap it back in when done. I rate high for Durability and Longevity based on when I see in the quality. It is hard to evaluate since I only just received them and used them a couple of times.

These are very tough bits but not capable of grinding through hardened steel. I breach old payphones as a hobby, which have two locks (top for phone, bottom lock for coin box). The bottom lock is super hardened steel and these did nothing to it. However they shredded the top lock and had no signs of wear at all. The one pic on here of the worn bit looks like it was somehow spun in reverse (must not have used a real die grinder for the bit) or maybe didn’t use any cutting lube. Even on the hardened steel despite not making any considerable dents, the bits still didn’t get damaged or worn. It would have taken 12+ hours of grinding away at the hardened steel with these and still not sure they would be able to do it. Not any fault of the bits. It’s more a testament to those dang locks! Lol. Hardness matters. Perhaps diamond tipped ones are what I’m looking for.

I used one of these to elongate 4 holes in 1/2 steel. Cut great and still sharp. If you need to cut steel buy these, they work good at a great price. I have paid $15 for just one at the supply store. These are just as good.

Used these to open up a door lock area. Attempted to use a drill bit first and then file and neither worked well at all so ordered these and out the project on hold. Fantastic tool that was exactly what I was looking for. Strong and durable and will definitely reuse for other projects.

Set was less expensive than a single bit a my local tool store.

used this for 3 months now and they work good one has worn down a bit but it still works and is still cheaper to get a whole new set then just get one

They worked very well had no problem boring out a bigger hole on 1/8 piece of steel.

these appear to be 6mm rather than 1/4; not sure if this is due to a mistake in the item shipped/sent or if they are all 6mm..... doesn't fit on a Metabo GE710 Plus with a 1/4 collet(doesn't tighten/grip, searching suggest 1/4 is a touch bigger than 6mm); currently waiting on a 6mm collet
