Epiphone SG, Wilshire, Coronet, Crestwood, and Blueshawk Hardshell Case

Beautiful case for my Blues Hawk, great fit and price and right on time.

I picked this case for my Epiphone Sg standard. I couldn’t be happier, not only is this case excellent quality, this will give your axe the style and protection as they came to you from Gibson in the 60’s with correct interior stock color and very supportive and plush. I was going to go with aftermarket company for a flashier color interior, but they can get expensive, and as anyone has owned a Epiphone guitar before, you must pay attention to the headstock length, they are a little longer than most, especially on older models like g400 or specials, g310, So fit could be an issue. Not with this! Made for this specific guitar, great for my new sg standard. You won’t be disappointed, so nice for the price! Also I love that this comes from Epiphone and not generic ! Very sleek build, definitely adds more mojo to my rig! I am so glad I went with this, I am so impressed with this case, this is not cheap product, so cool!

Originally wanting a full road case to protect my instrument, I reluctantly ordered this from Amazon as a last resort. And I have to say, I was stunned when I took it out of the box. It's absolutely beautiful. From the gold metallic-like "Epiphone" logo embossed against the black matte case to the Prussian Blue velvet interior, it gives a sense of quality and richness inside and out. I didn't know what to expect for a case less than $100. I had tried several more expensive cases by Gator and SBK at my local Guitar Store but didn't care for the way my G310 fit. This case is a perfect fit, has a storage drawer to hold your picks, metronome, etc. and offers decent protection. It certainly isn't as durable as a full road case made of hard plastic or metal, but you won't find a better case with a better fit for double the money. This truly is a best buy and you can't go wrong with this one if you own a G310 - it's quality throughout.

Overall I like this case quite a bit, but with my G400 in it the balance is a bit towards then base of the guitar than is comfortable for the handle angle. This is, at best, a nit; it's close, and perhaps if I put more stuff in the internal storage bin it would balance out. The fit is perfect for the guitar, and the case has taken some nice knocks with aplomb. The hinges and latches are good quality and I like the pegs to protect the case when laid on its edge and flat. It protects the guitar about as well as anything would. Some mention the handle quality as an issue. It does seem flimsier than anything else on the case, but not particularly underbuilt. I think it's the contrast with the sturdy build everywhere else that makes people think that. I rather wish it had strap attachments, but I don't have any qualms recommending it.

Recently bought an Epiphone SG and I wanted to protect it. I figured a hard case I'd better than a gig bag. Shopped around and bought it here. Arrived in 3 days fits the guitar very well. There's nothing fancy about the case. But it's pretty light weight with the guitar in it. I would recommend but there are better cases available. This fit my needs and my price range.

Ich habe meinem Freund zu Weihnachten diesen Gitarrenkoffer für seine Epiphone G400 Pro bestellt, die er bis dahin nur in dem Gitarrenkarton aufbewahrte. Grundsätzlich hätte ich eine rechteckige Form als Gitarrenkoffer schöner und standsicherer gefunden, aber dann wäre nur ein Universal-Gitarrenkoffer in Frage gekommen. Nachdem ich mir sowas in einem Fachgeschäft mal angesehen hatte und mir bewusst wurde, dass die Gitarre zum einen da drin nur umherrutschen würde und zum anderen der weiche Polsterstoff dort nur mit harter Pappe darunter unterlegt war, was mich an dem Schutz bei eventuellen Stürzen des Koffers zweifeln ließ (das Ganze dann auch noch 70 EUR kosten sollte), entschied ich mich für diese im Verhältnis nur unwesentlich teurere Originalversion. Diese Entscheidung war auch absolut richtig! Der Koffer wirkt äußerlich sehr stabil. Klappt man ihn auf merkt man, dass es einen besseren Schutz nicht geben kann. Der Plüsch ist superweich und dick. Statt mit Pappe scheint der Stoff mit Schaumstoff unterfüttert, Beschädigungen des Instruments scheinen damit absolut ausgeschlossen. Die Gitarre passt genau rein und sitzt schön fest im Polster. Im abgeteilten geräumigen Innenfach lässt sich zudem noch diverses Zubehör verstauen. Bei Lieferung befindet sich darin der Schlüssel, mit dem sich die drei Schlösser des Koffers abschließen lassen. Mit Gitarre drin ist der Koffer perfekt ausbalanciert und lässt sich super tragen. Trotz der Begeisterung über den Artikel hatte ich überlegt, einen Stern abzuziehen. Grund hierfür ist, dass der erste mir gelieferte Koffer eine sehr lange Schramme auf der Vorderseite hatte und an den Kanten des Rumpfteils extrem abgenutzt war. Dies kann jedoch eher dem zuständigen Mitarbeiter der Qualitätskontrolle von Amazon als dem Produkt angelastet werden. Den zweiten Koffer musste ich, da von Amazon nicht mehr lieferbar, über den Marketplace beim Musikhaus Brilon bestellen. Abgesehen davon, dass der Versand über UPS erfolgte, war der Koffer geschenktauglich, aber auch nicht perfekt: Der ca. 2 cm breite umlaufende Kunstlederstreifen liegt in den Vertiefungen, also dort, wo der Hals in den Rumpf übergeht und dann auch in der Mitte des Rumpfes vor dem ganz breiten Bereich nicht richtig an. Hier ist etwas Luft, was aber (vermutlich) nicht die Funktion bzw. den Schutz beeinträchtigen dürfte. Vermutlich eher der (Preis-)Unterschied zwischen einem Gibson- und einem Epiphone-Koffer und aus meiner Sicht noch tolerierbar.

Purchased the Epiphone Case for Epiphone G310/G400 for a Epiphone G-400 Pro. Its overall good quality and it is a perfect snug fit for the guitar. The case features a closable compartment after the body under the guitar neck area of case, which comes in handy for picks, and other gear and has ample space for spare strings, picks, cloth and even the strap and maybe a winder or something. Quite handy indeed, this compartment provides extra and welcomed support for the neck area after the guitar body which is nice. The interior is upholstered in a plush smooth fluffy material and is padded in key areas for extra protection, I'm confident, the case will keep the guitar safe and free from damage or scratches for sure, so one less thing to worry. The exterior is some fake leather finish glued to case shape no doubt but it has some metal studs in key areas to make sure you can stand the case on its side or upright without damaging that. All the metal work on this is polished chrome finish and is detailed enough. Looks good I guess. Its held closed by 3 latches (2 on boy 1 on neck) which have a briefcase basic lock type and key, but that isn't inspiring security at all, but there you have it. The golden Ephiphone lettering on case is good quality, my personal preference would be no lettering at all, but there we are, it should be easy to remove without damage. I kept the desiccant bags inside to keep moisture in check for bag/guitar, will add some moisture indicators at a later date.
