Loop Engage 2 Ear Plugs - Everyday Noise Relief with Clear Speech

If you have misophinia this actually helps!!!! I have always hated the sound of chewing noises and normally need to watch a movie with dinner or play music. But now, I can just pop in my loops and I am able to be around chewing without any issue. Also voices come through clearly so its easy to hear others, listen to music, etc. The only think Im having to learn is its hard to tell how loud you are talking with them in. I wish I had bought these sooner! Also, the clear color is barely visible in your ear so its perfect if you want to wear them to work and go unnoticed. I deal with a lot of noise at my job and this helps me to come home without feeling as overstimulated.

This is my 2nd pair of loop ear plugs. Their first pair was the first generation and bought for me as a gift because my husband snores. They did completely shut out sound but were difficult to wear when sleeping because they were kind of hard in my ear because I’m a side sleeper. Sadly, I lost those on a travel. I ended up buying my 2nd pair, as I was really struggling with migraines and loud sounds were really triggering. I have younger kids and a very loud husband who likes to talk a lot, and I was constantly having to ask them to be quiet. Which was near impossible and didn’t really happen. As a Mom, you can’t really completely shut out the world, so I was looking for something that just muted sound enough to still be able to hear, but help the noise level for the sake of my brain and ability to function. Because I had the 1st gen set, I looked up loop again and was so pleased to see they had so many different types of options available now. I read all of the sound descriptions and decided these would be best for my situation. I purchased them immediately and am so happy I did!! They are so comfortable(I am super sensory sensitive) and people can barely even tell they are in my ear when I’m wearing them. I can hear everything and everyone around me just as clearly, but it mutes the noise enough for me to be able to function. I have very small ear canals so I use the xs mold, it’s nice they give all the size options in the package, and they are easy to change out, as they just pop on and off. They come with a cute little carrying case, so it’s easy to store them in my purse and use them whenever I become overstimulated or I’m in an enclosed space with loud talking people. They are easy to clean, I just use a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol and give them a wipe every so often. The value for money is great!! I would pay way more for something that can help solve a lot of my sensory issues and help with my migraines.

I love having something compact and non-battery operated. I can hear everything around me but it is FAR less jarring. There is enough balance to hear the doorbell or barking dog at a significantly muted level. You can have a casual speaker phone conversation hear voices without the background noise. If your name is being called, you can hear. I find these PERFECT for studying in a home with roommates or children, or walking in a loud city. Make sure to try all out all diff sizes and remember, one ear may need a diff size than the other. Also, make sure to give your ears some time to adjust. I’m sensory sensitive and was skeptical to purchase. I love my Soundcore 20i (headset), but cannot carry/use all often as I’d like. I love the compact and sleek design of Soundcore sleep, but cannot keep an eye on the house. The Loop Engage 2 have given me the BEST of BOTH :D

TL, DR: These work great for my needs; I'm happy with my purchase. My needs for this: I'm somewhat noise sensitive; being in a loud public space for an extended time sets my nerves on edge. Plus, I have some hearing loss in the mild range. Hearing the conversation at a noisy restaurant has become very difficult for me. I purchased these after having to leave a dinner out with friends because of both those factors. How I use them: I put both in when going to one particular very noise-dense grocery store. (Aaaah!) I use them when in a venue where the music is too loud for me. And I use them in noisy restaurants - the most life-changing use for me. Depending on the ambient noise and the voice of my table companion, I may use the Loops in both ears or only one. Pros: They do help in these situations! And are making my life a little more relaxed. Cons: They do muffle conversation a little bit, so if your hearing loss is more than mild, they might not work for you. You should know: 1. They sometimes fall out when I'm chewing. If so, I just take them out for that bit. 2. Also, the case is lightweight & easy to fit in a pocket or purse. But because it's small & gray (easy to miss when you're looking for it, or fishing around in a purse), I was afraid of losing it. So I just added a small colorful key fob to it. 3. I bought some knock-off mute rings, but I haven't used them.

I wear these (and my quiets) every single day and I absolutely love them. I'm going to eventually buy a backup pair to leave at work because the idea that I may accidentally leave these at home gives me anxiety lol They're incredibly comfortable (try every single ear tip size!) and extremely discreet. And I can add a great deal more db reduction (equivalent to the quiets) with the little mute. Before I got my quiets I've even slept in the engages and I'm a side sleeper. While it wasn't *the* most comfortable night time earplugs experience, it wasn't unbearable. I just made myself not put as much pressure on my ear (I gathered up a blanket and positioned it in such a way that my ear didn't emoosh against the pillow.) The only gripe I have about the actual product is that they don't come in more colors. I do prefer the clear ones for work, but when I wear them out to events (bingo night!) I really want to have them look like jewelry to match my 7 earrings in my ears. I'd absolutely love a rose gold, and painting them isn't an option because I don't want to accidentally block the little chamber lol. I know there are the experience ones, but I don't need more occlusion/db reduction at these events so I haven't gotten them. Speaking of gripes - this isn't the fault of the product but it's just the way that earplugs work...even though these ones aren't totally occlusive, they still make it sound weird when I talk. It took me about a week to get used to it and I still can't sing along with the music at work because I'm way too loud to myself and it sounds weird...but the benefits far outweigh that to me. I've tried products like the flare calmers and while they help with general overstimulation they offer zero db reduction so they don't do it for me in loud environments such as my job. I do still use them in other situations, though. Just not when volume is part of the issue. Ok now that that's out of the way, I'll expand on how these are helping me in hopes that it gives someone else the info they need in order to decide whether they want to spend the money on them. I feel obligated to mention that these are *not* designed to protect your ears from significant noise levels such as gunshots or heavy machinery. I know they're not advertised as such, but I feel that it's responsible to add this in my review. So, I work at a restaurant and I have noise sensitivity and chronic migraines. The noise level at work is unbearable at times (too loud but not dangerously so) between the music, the hood vent, the fryers, all of the customers, the clinking and clanking of metal cookware and all the buzzing of the appliances. It drives me mad and makes my head pain even more intense. The breaking point was one day when the person in charge had the music up a little bit too loud and I nearly lost my mind within the first 10 minutes of my shift. I'd had these on my wishlist for a while but I literally purchased them on my break so I could have them the next day. When I tell you that with these in it melts away all of the annoying buzzing and whirring of the appliances! I can't even hear when the water is running (so I have to be careful that I don't overfill the sink when I walk away for a second while it's filling up lol). The clinking and clanking doesn't feel like it's piercing into my soul. The music isn't too loud. AND I can still hear the customers speaking to me very clearly! It only affects me being able to hear people talking if they're quiet talkers or are mumbling, which to be fair that isn't very easy to hear over the ruckus without the loops. All I have to do is adjust my level of concentration when I'm not looking at someone when they're speaking. So it does take some getting used to but it's not something that can't be learned. It's also reduced my migraine intensity. It used to be that if my head started to hurt while at work it would progressively get more painful for the entire day until I finally got home and things are much quieter. Now, when I start to get head pain it plateaus at a point and doesn't continue to increase. This has greatly improved my quality of life while at work. Also when I am having head pain and extra migraine-induced noise sensitivity at home I can wear these and still be able to hear everything around me. I can even use them and listen to an audiobook at the normal volume and be able to hear everything perfectly, if a bit quieter (which is what I want during a migraine) Now, can I just get some of these for my eyes? LOL (seriously, though fl41 migraine tint for glasses is a life saver!) I carry these babies everywhere and I recommend them to anyone with noise sensitivity. My coworker bought some last week and she loves them! I got them as a birthday present for my best friend and she's incredibly happy with them! I can't recommend them enough. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the case. It's fine. Nothing to call home about. I don't trust it by itself, so I crocheted a little pouch to put it in. I've heard that the version 2 cases are more secure, but I don't trust my comfort and sanity to a piece of plastic alone lol you can alternatively buy some of those small, round headphones zipper pouches to put it in. I don't trust the metal cases with the screw-on lid, either. I carry my daily meds in one and am very familiar with just how easily it works itself open.

My speech therapist had suggested these as an alternative to deflect background noise levels. These Loop 2 engage are very effective in lowering the background noise. You still can carry on conversation with out speaking louder which is a great comfort in itself. They come in many interchangeable sizes and a compact carrying case as well. These are great! I'm pleasantly surprised. Due to sensory issues, finding the perfect earbuds can be absolutely frustrating. And, by golly gosh, I do believe I struck gold with these! Sometimes my cat keeps me up at night meowing so I knew I needed some that would be a good fit for laying my head on the pillow. These stood out to me because they looked like they could possibly, and finally, not leave me wanting to claw my ears off. I took the chance and purchased them due to the good reviews and after seeing pictures of what they looked like sitting in the ear from other customers. After using these earbuds frequently for the past week, I don't have any complaints, so I will list all the qualities that are pros to me. 1. They're discreet. Your eyes don't immediately jump to them because they hide well in the ear and they are not bright and bold in color. If you prefer something more discreet, these may be a good option for you. 2. They cancel out just enough noise to be comforting. I like that they are not completely noise canceling. I appreciate that I can still hear while simultaneously having dimmed the intensity of loud and overwhelming noises that come with being out in public, at events, grocery store, etc. I went to a play last night and I could still hear what was happening just fine while also feeling comforted. I still had them in during intermission and was able to hear my aunt and carry a conversation just fine without having to take them out to hear her. These earbuds gently lower the intensity of over-stimulating noises and allow me to still enjoy certain activities and/or get through unfavorable situations that greatly overstimulate me. 3. I appreciate the variety of sizing in the buds and that they included a size XS. While the mediums were okay, the XS's are perfect for me. Perfect size for my sensory needs and perfect size for sleeping. They fit just right in my ears, and my ears don't end up badly aching after having slept in them. When I tried sleeping with the mediums it was a no-go, but I switched to the XS and it felt SO much better all around and I was able to sleep. While I could tolerate the mediums for being out and about, once I switched to the XS's, I wondered why I didn't switch them sooner. 4. Great for sleeping for me. I had not found an earbud that I could tolerate for very long until these. So the fact that I'm able to sleep with these things says A LOT. I don't have to keep adjusting my head so that they don't hurt or bother me. 5. I hardly know they are there. Once I go on about my activities, it doesn't take long before I don't notice them much. It doesn't feel like my entire ear is busting with an earbud. I don't have to keep reajusting them to relieve aching. My tragus and rook piercings are not bothered at all when using them which THRILLS me. They're also very lightweight, and sit in my ears so subtly that I just about forget that I have them in. 6. They're nicely compact and easy to transport. The design of the earbuds and case are brilliant. The color(s), shape, size, and smooth texture are very pleasing to me. I chose the iridescent lilac and they are beautiful without being too loud in appearance. I very much appreciate the loop attached to the case, too. I hooked mine onto my bag and they go with me everywhere. 7. Money well-spent. I think these are worth every penny. I appreciate that they are not outrageously priced, that they are great quality, and meet my personal needs well. If you're looking for something closer to complete noise cancellation, these most likely aren't for you; however, if any of the above applies to you then you may be pleasantly surprised like I was when I tried them. Good not great. They are very discreet (see pictures). I love that the set comes with different sizes of silicone covers to get a perfect fit in your ear, but the advertised level of functionality is not accurate. Everything I read and researched, including other users reviews, made it sound like there is a good amount of distinguishing happening between lowering ambient noise but still allowing voices through...in my experience this is not the case. They are basically different levels of simple earplugs. All sounds are diminished equally. I do understand they are CALLED earplugs and I had an idea of what I was getting...it just wasn't correct. They are very comfortable, and easy to put in and keep in, don't hurt my ears when I use the right size (even when in for hours). But they really are just earplugs that decrease different decibels of sound (loudness) based on the style you get. There is also no mention of occlusion (hearing your own voice loudly in your head when you have the earplugs in). From what I read this can be significantly diminished by switching to foam covers instead of the silicones...but they were another $15 that I didn't want to spend with no guarantee that they would actually help (all reviews say it is different for each person). Over all I will be keeping them for now because my daughter gets overwhelmed easily by lots of noise and I think they will be useful in specific circumstances. But do be aware that the size of the plugs is tiny and the case is barely bigger, so if you lose things easily these may not be the solution for you.

This thing is legit. It actually works. In Indian context - I was around badly tuned loud speakers, dhol etc. and this made all that more tolerable for me without killing the sound completely. It’s also possible to hear people around but they might have to be close or speak up.

子ども達に近くから大きな声でしつこく話しかけられる日々、、 まだ小さいので声量の調節が難しく、うるささに限界だったので耳栓を購入することにしました。 自分の体調が良くない時や、子どもたちのテンションが高すぎる時などに使っています。しばらく使いましたが頭や耳に響くような苦しさがかなり軽減しました。 「うるさい」と言うことも激減したので双方にとってメリットだったと思います。 また、低音障害型感音難聴を持っているのですが、症状が出ている時に難聴の方の耳に付けて聞こえの違和感や圧迫感を軽減するのにも私には効果を感じることができました。 一方で話し声や家の外を通る車の音などは普通に聞こえるので何かあっても気付けるのが育児中に良いポイントだと思います。 勉強や作業等に集中したい人は物足りなさを感じるかもしれません。 デザインが良くて持ち運び用のケースが付いているのも便利で良いです。コンパクトなのでケースごとなくしてしまわないように注意しています。 機能・デザイン等総合して定価では少し高いと思うので、セール等でお得に購入されるのが良いかと思います！

Perfect! They dull out background noise so well. I can still hear what people are saying to me so they work great for work. Are an absolute life changer to help me not get overstimulated as I am autistic. Worth the price and they variety of sizes are perfect to find what is comfortable. I forget they are even in.

These are great. I love wearing them to movies, bars, school assemblies, shopping centres - anywhere there is alot of distorted noise that causes fatigue or heightens anxiety. They are useful for softening that background distortion, toning it down and softening it. You can still hear everything, including that backgroind noise, but it becomes more identifiable as 'background' when all your senses feel scrambled from so much stimulus. I didnt like them much at first, it took a while getting use to it, and there is some occlusion (internal feedback, eg hear yourself walking) but after adjustmsmt you sort of dont hear it as mich. Also noting, wearing for too long, i feel like my constant tinnitus would worsen, unsure if related. Note: make sure you fit them correctly, so many wear them upside down or half out...just uneducated or unknowing i hope...
