Primus LiTech Coffee/Tea

I bought this kettle on a recommendation from my Uncle since he had used it in his camping and hiking trips. I have to agree with him that this is all I needed for my food prep. The kettle is fairly small, so it didn't take up too much space, but was large enough to heat the water needed for hot chocolate, coffee, and food dishes. I was also able to fit the pocket stove into the kettle to make more space in my pack. It's a very sturdy design, and heats up quickly. I would recommend this to any camper or hiker for a lightweight part of their gear.

This is a very nice little kettle for making about two small cups of coffee or tea when camping. If you are looking to make more, I suggest you get something bigger. This did the trick for us, boiled the water very quickly and worked just fine. This cleans well and does not take up much space, and for the price, was the right size. Please pay attention to the capacity and note that it is a fatter, round shape, rather than the taller kettles. This may/may not be a consideration for your packing needs. Overall, we had no complaints about this kettle and would recommend it.

After the umpteenth camping trip using this lovely pot, my husband turned to me and said, "This has seriously been one of our best Amazon purchases!" I couldn't agree more! It is lightweight, and the sack it comes in makes it easy to store. It cools off easily after you pour out your water, so it can be quickly packed away. We use it over the fire, and we find that the water boils fast. I'd make this purchase over again in a heartbeat...but I won't need to because this is one durable piece of backpacking equipment! :) Purchase this kettle - you won't regret it!

I wanted a nice small kettle for travelling. I like to make coffee and tea on road trips. I have been using a glass kettle, but I was afraid of breaking it, so I was happy to find this metal one. It heats much faster than the glass one. But I have to take off the lid and pour sideways to empty the last bit of water out. If not done carefully, this can cause burns. It does not whistle, but it boils so fast that I just watch it until I see steam at the spout, and I know it's ready. Good: Durable. Heats FAST! Comes with travelling pouch. Lightweight. Cools off quickly after use. Bad: Does not whistle at boil. Difficult to empty completely. Must pour carefully to avoid scalding. The knob on the lid was loose when I received it; I had to replace the screw with a longer one.

This kettle does exactly what it is inteded for...boiling water fast and effecienty by allowing maximal bottom surface area to be exposed to the heat source. However, the actual kettle production is poorly executed. To begin with, the base of the spout leaks, as many other reveiwers have found. The top lid is not snuggly fitted to the opening and will fall out. Repeated heating of the kettle will exaggerate this problem to the point where you will need to use a rubber band to keep this lid on tight during transport. Another design problem is that when you fill the kettle to its reported .9L capacity, the water will spew out as soon as the temp reaches close to boiling. Within 1 minute you will get a nasty pool of hot water gathering around the spout end of the kettle. Lastly the handle does not move up and down smoothly. Its quite stiff. The plastic holder on the handle does not always stay cool. As a matter of fact, with the exception of very cool or windy conditions, the plastic hold becomes too hot to handle, rendering it useless. Overall, I would love to return this product, but since I have used it a few times and there is obvious scorching/discoloration over the bottom, I dont feel right about sending it back. Its not bad for the money, but dont expect this to be an awesome product. I certainly would be hesitant to recommend it to others.

This was probably my fault -- I didn't realize what a small amount 1.5 liter is. Bought this for our family's camping bin. Planned to use it for coffee, hot chocolate, etc. It's definitely lightweight! It's also TINY! I laughed so hard after opening the package!!!!! Thank goodness no one was home; now I can use it as a christmas gift for my husband who's taken up backpacking. He'll never know. for backpacking, it'll be perfect! Sturdy, lightweight and compact. PLEASE be sure you only need a very small kettle if you plan to purchase this item.

I guess you can boil water pretty much in any container. But this one does it with an extra touch of fun. I also bought a titanium mug that fits inside this unit perfectly. And this fits inside my one person cooking set. Together they make a very compact and fun to use set. It is always a favorite at camp sites. It is well made, very light and it makes it really easy to deal with boiling water without accidental boil overs or spills.

I purchased the 1.5 liter kettle to accompany my 1.5 liter coffee press. Unfortunately the kettle is not 1.5 liters it's less than 1.2, for most people this is not a big deal. I purchased this kettle because my 1 liter kettle was not big enough to make a full pot of coffee while camping. FYI: Sno-Peak products stated sizes are way off as well and are best purchased in person.

Dieser Teekessel wird uns im Wohnmobil auf unserem Primus Kocher begleiten. Der Kessel ist sehr gut verarbeitet und ist wirklich leicht. Die Oberfläche sieht toll aus und lässt sich angenehm greifen. Dieser Teekessel ist sein Geld absolut wert!

Great kettle, we use in our motorhome on a gas hob...boils really quick (no whistle) and full will fill 4 mugs!! Really happy with purchase

Da ich ihn noch nicht in Gebrauch hatte, kann ich dazu noch nicht viel sagen. Aber er entspricht der Beschreibung und sollte sowohl auf meinem Ofen wie auch dem kleinen Gaskocher gut funktionieren.
