Q: When the pen runs out of ink, what do I need to buy?

You need to buy an ordinary ink refill. There is one included in the package, inside the cradle/charger. It seems it is a very common refill, easy to find in shops or Amazon.

It depends on the journal. If it's a side to side flipping journal and not like a yellow legal pad that you flip from the top, you'll be fine. The magnet is pretty strong in the receiver so as long as its not over, say, 5 pieces of paper; it should clip on just fine. I use it for the same thing, it works great for journals.

Q: Does it "remember" pages that you revisit? For example, if I do my to-do list on a post it note, would I be able to check off a day, a week later?

Hi Chrystal! As far as the pen itself recognizing a previously written note, it doesn't do that. Although that would be an amazing thing to suggest to the company! I've had the same issue with some of my notes and what I've usually done is either number or letter each new page and then if I go back and modify, when I go back to the physical page I "click" a new page on the pen, retrace the number and then make the modifications. That way when I put them on my computer I can overlay the two pages. And of course if you're near your computer you can select the page to be the one it records over rather than starting a new page digitally. I hope all of that makes sense!

Q: Does this record audio like the livescribe?

The pen does not record audio like the Livescribe. It doesn't really record what you write all that well either. I would explore other options available.
