Marathon belt
Love this belt! I used it for my marathon. I was able to pack my phone, chapstick and Tylenol in the zipper spot, and a 500ml water bottle and all my fuel in the elastic pocket. Size was very comfortable and easy to keep clean.

A belt that does belt things
What wasn’t immediately obvious to me that there is just one narrow opening on the front that you fit everything through that you might want to hold in the belt. This differs from some other belts that are essentially open all the way around. There is a zippered pocket in back for a phone. There is also a key clip near that front opening. For some of the bands that have many many more sizing options they are significantly less stretchy and so less bounce but if your weight fluctuates at all, especially upwards, it presents a big problem. A too tight fitting run belt during race will cause psoas issues and nerve damage. There is less chance of an issue of a belt like this. It hasn’t felt too bouncy. I fit 11 beta gels in the front and it was fine, 12 was a bit too much but still fit. PF90’s fit but it is tight. The negative about that one opening when it is on your waist, to fill it full you need to “feed” all the gels around your waist to the corners. That is the only negative thing I’ve found so far.

Good Gear
Awesome quality and fit for what you’d expect from a Salomon product. Does the trick on the trail for smaller hydration containers and gels. Disappointed in the delayed shipping.

Best Running Belt! Great quality! Huge storage capacity!
2nd time I've purchased this belt. 5 or 6 years apart! Its the best! Huge front pocket for a Salomon 17oz soft flask , and 5 or 6 gels +. Back zipper pocket for big phone! Does not bounce and can still do pace pick ups or races with it packed!

Watch out for chafing
Causes serious chafing when worn over 1 hour. I keep my phone (S23 so not huge) in the open pocket, on my back. The seam under the open pocket has already started opening up. I recommend adding a couple of small, non-zipped pockets for gela. Not a bad product but for Salomon and this price point, it should be better.

Solid
Love it. I personally use the pouch for my phone to make it more easily accessible while on runs

Surprisingly Spacious, Secure, and Perfectly Comfortable — A Brilliant Minimalist Running Belt
Original review about the black large size: I already own two running vests for longer runs (one Osprey and one Salomon), but I wanted something smaller and compact for hot, short runs. Having looked at various reviews, I opted for Salomon. I bought the Salomon Pulse Belt (Large, Black) after debating the sizing, and I’m really glad I went for the large. For context, I typically wear medium in most sports gear, but my waist is a true 36” even though I wear 34” jeans. According to Salomon’s sizing guide, I was right on the border between medium and large, and the large fits me perfectly; snug, secure, and very form‑fitting without ever feeling tight. The material used is very stretchy and soft, and has good wicking properties and dries quickly. I took it out for a 5km, very hot, trail run to test it properly, and it exceeded my expectations. It’s incredibly lightweight, sits flat against the body, and I didn’t notice any movement or bounce at all. Once it’s on, it genuinely disappears, but it somehow holds far more than you’d think. It’s basically the TARDIS of running belts. To help other runners see what it can carry, I recorded a short video of me emptying it after my run (and please forgive my amateurish filming - it's not something I do frequently, but I wanted to give some real-world context). From the front pocket, I pull out an iPhone 12 in a case, a house key, an AirPods Pro 3 case, and lip balm. From the rear pocket, I removed a full 500ml Osprey soft flask, and from the trekking‑pole loops I took out a packable Asics runners’ rain jacket. I could also get a couple of energy gels or chews if I wanted, as there is enough room left. It looks like a lot of faff in the video, but honestly, once you’ve used the belt a couple of times, getting things in and out becomes second nature. The 4‑way stretch material is breathable and comfortable, and the belt stays exactly where you put it. No rubbing, no shifting, no sagging, even with the flask and jacket loaded. For short runs, longer trail outings, or days when you don’t want a vest, this is a brilliant minimalist option. If you’re between sizes, I’d strongly recommend going up. The large gives me a secure fit without any looseness, and I’m on the lower end of that size range. Overall, this is a superb running belt: discreet, stable, and capable of carrying far more than you’d expect. I managed to get it on a special offer at £29.99 in late June 2026, and it is definitely worth it. Additional review about the red medium size: So, after a few weeks of using the large, and being between sizes, I opted to also order the "High Risk Red" colour in a medium size. As it turns out, I can definitely get away with either size being. This one is a bit more snug, but still comfortable to wear. I prefer the red colour as it stands out a little more, which will be great in low-level light during the autumn and winter months.

Excellent
If you get the right size it fits like a glove, sits nicely even on trails and holds enough stuff for longer runs. Good for a couple of water bottles and some gels, it even holds my phone securely. Bought even the bigger pulse belt, that thing is useless, do not buy.
