I received this in excellent condition. Although previously used, it appears that it was not previously opened.

Great overview of important points in law that are not obvious, with example case descriptions.

The media could not be loaded.  As the founder of LSAT Blog and a longtime LSAT coach, I've found that too many students don't actually know what law school will be like. This gives them in-depth exposure to law school at a SIGNIFICANT fraction of the price. I am using this course to prepare for law school. The contents are academic enough to provide useful, insightful information contained in courses first year law students encounter, yet the easy to understand approach renders it approachable for the general public.Narrated by various professors with personable, pleasant-sounding voices, the lectures highlight the most important aspects of each subject exemplified by Supreme Court cases, allowing for further in-depth study.Don't know which court to bring a suit in? Wonder what the difference between homicide and manslaughter? Interested in the rules regulating open remarks in litigation? All of these will be answered in this Great Course.

The narration on this was pretty good, and the content great, but the storytelling felt a bit off for some of the topics. In some cases, there were great examples to illustrate the topic and in others it felt like a different format was being used. This runs about 25 hours, which even at 1.5X is a pretty big investment of time. Overall, this will give you the basics of law, and I'd highly recommend both for business people who just want/need a little more background as well as for younger students who are considering law.Some of the content goes pretty deep, while some sections feel like I'm learning what I could have from Law & Order. That may just be a function of what is necessary to share and what got edited out. I'd say this is a Good, not Great course.

Lacking the desire and probably the brains to get through law school and pass the bar, I have always been interested in a course like this. I really enjoyed the high level BUT great examples of how the legal system works. The professors were amazing and my gosh, they know their stuff. Highly recommended for anyone that wants to broaden their horizons.

This is a very interesting and insightful look at how laws are interpreted.....with some mind-blowing case law examples that challenge our perception of common sense. I listened to the Audible version while commuting to and from work for approximately three weeks. I'll likely listen to this Audio book again. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in how our system of law operates.
