I have a bluray player with hdmi 2.0 output and want to connect the audio to my old amp with rca audio inputs. will this device allow me to do that?

The HDMI audio extractor will allow you to connect your Bluray player to your old amp by stereo or optical cable. The issue that might come up is lip sync error where the timing of the audio output doesn't match the display voices. You may have to change setting in the bluray audio output to stereo and the same on the amp. I would recommend looking at a HDMI 2.2 HT receiver for the best fix.

does this work with Roku Streamer?

I am a professional AV installer i have connected over 50 of these extractors with Roku media players. There are 2 audio outputs Optical and 3.5 stereo analog, if your using the stereo output move the audio bitstream selector switch to the 2ch mode. I have also found if there is any lip-sync error where audio and video don't match, change the Roku to 2ch PCM in the HDMI audio setup in the Roku setting menu.

Is there a noticable delay between zones with hdmi audio and zones with analog 2 channel audio?

The two channel analog output will only work when the input source's audio is set to PCM 2 ch stereo output.

When connected to my tvs hdmi arc output, and using this to convert to rca output, will i be able control the volume output with the tv remote?

No it just sends the audio out to a another source but no volume control for the secondary device.
