This clarifying shampoo/salt scrub is great! I have super thick hair that’s past my bra strap, this spread and lathered throughout my scalp no problem and did an excellent job cleaning my scalp and hair. All the dry shampoo I used for two days (its brown tinted for my dark hair) came right out. You don’t need much, this stuff really lathers and the salt crystals feel nice. I used about a quarter sized ball for my thick, long hair and I probably could have done a pinch less if I wanted to sacrifice a little of the exfoliation. The texture is paste like and concentrated. Put the shampoo on your scalp (I sectioned my hair horizontally across the back of my head and rubbed some on my scalp back there too) and then add more water to start scrubbing/lathering. The trick is adding a little more water after it’s on your head to get the lather going. This is a great hair care brand. The aloe hair mask is also fantastic. I knew I’d most likely love this, but got the sample size. Wish I just got the full size off the bat. It costs more but it will last and is one of the best out there. It also smells amazing, like a salon shampoo. The only other salt shampoo that’s better is Head Kandy but they stay sold out for months as a popular indie brand lol 😭

A lot smaller tub than I was lead to believe from the ad. Disappointing.

I’ve struggled with dandruff for years and have tried more scalp treatments and scrubs than I can count. This is, without exaggeration, the best one I’ve used. The texture is thick when you first scoop it out, but the moment it touches your scalp it transforms — it lathers beautifully and distributes easily. It gives that deep, truly cleansed feeling that most products promise but rarely deliver. The scent isn’t particularly luxurious — it leans more clean and slightly detergent-like — but honestly, I don’t mind because of how incredibly effective it is. My scalp feels clean for days. My hair feels lighter, fresher, and noticeably bouncier after every use. It has genuinely become my favorite shower ritual. I know I’m going to have a great hair day whenever I use it. My scalp has never felt healthier. If you struggle with buildup, flakes, or an itchy scalp, this is absolutely worth trying

I use this every time I wash my hair. Because I try to stretch out washes and use dry shampoo, I often get buildup on my scalp. After using this product I notice a difference every time — the exfoliation reduces buildup and my hair feels so much cleaner after washes. It doesn’t strip my natural oils, and my scalp feels healthier overall. Can’t recommend this highly enough!

I bought this for my husband who has an oily scalp (but very little hair) to give his scalp a deep clean. Just like others have said, a little goes a long way. The scent is not offensive in any way but is hard to describe. (Fresh, I’d say, if I had to choose one word). It is grainy due to the salts. And it does lather some. I saw that some people said it doesn’t but it just doesn’t lather like a normal shampoo. As far as it working as a purifying shampoo, I think it does the job. He’s using it as his every day shampoo. I tried it once as well (I have fine hair down to the middle of my back) and worked it in with a scalp scrubber and thought it worked nicely.
