Just got it and it works just like the original. Don't know what all the negative reviews are about it works fine. If it has an issue within the first year or so I will update the review.Strange thing is that the box it came in says made in china but the sticker inside the remote says made in thailand.My original from google has a made in thailand sticker inside too and it has lasted a long time so I am hopeful this one from amazon does the same.For around 8 bucks its very worth it.

So far so good! It works for my chromecast when many others didnt, so im grateful for that! Everything works, it looks and feels exactly like my previous remote (i still have it so i can compare the 2.) I have no complaints, it connected fairly easy but it took 2 trys, which might be my own fault im not sure. Ive only had it for a few hours though, so ill come back and update in a few weeks if anything changes

I noticed when I got the new remote in my hand that it feels like the same material build as the original remote.I had a problem with the original remote that came with the Chromecast device over time as the first button that went was the mute button then after that a few months later both the volume up and down buttons stopped responding to the Chromecast, so I decided that it was time to get this replacement remote.Set up was flawless without any problems, and when I got the replacement remote control connected to the Chromecast, everything works fine as every button is responding to Chromecast.Durability of the remote is the same as the original remote control and I'm hoping that this one lasts as long or longer then the original remote control that came with the Chromecast.I'm very happy that the cost of the remote control wasn't an arm and leg, as under $10 is a great price for the item.If you're in need to switch your G9N9N (2020) Chromecast remote control, I would say don't shy away from this one and get it as I'm very pleased with my purchase of this item.

Have bought many always easy to pair and easy to program . Highly recommend.

Remote worked fine but only lasted 7 months. Purchased in late Dec '25 and it will no longer pair or keep settings and it's only July '26. I realize it's a cheap copy of the or but I expected a simple remote I last longer than this.

Took me a minute to get this remote paired. Once it was it works well. Occasionally the fast forward (hold down right side of circle) doesn’t work so I must repeatedly press it.

It works exactly as the original does.
