I bought a sample to try because I love fragrances. It’s my new obsession. This one I had to buy the big bottle because it’s now in my top 5! Worth the $$$. It lasts quite a long time too!

Just love the notes of this fragrance. Unfortunately, it wears away in less than 2 hours without even a whiff left behind. For the price, I had hoped for better. Perhaps needs more essential oils and less synthetics.

I bought my first bottle at Barneys New York in Dallas before their store went kaput. It was MAGICAL when I put it on. It just had the most sexy smell that I had not had in a long time in a light tone, citrus, LIGHT, fragrance. My ALL-TIME cologne is Tobacco Vanille Tom Ford private Reserve. and they are directly apposite. Whereas Tom is sex, and leather and cigars-------Bal D-Afrique has that lemon and citrus top and the HEAVENLY amber and vetiver to make it last all day or evening. I usually go through one bottle every 6 months. So Suffice to say, I am a cologne queen.

Purchased this Byredo Bal D'Afrique EDP twice. The first time, I received a legitimate, authentic product. It's a nice, fresh scent for the summer months. I was so impressed with the fragrance and price, that I purchased it again when it came up on sale again. The second time I purchased, I received a counterfeit product. There were no batch codes on either the box or the bottle, and Byredo ALWAYS has batch codes on both. Use caution when purchasing perfumes online as they are not returnable. Both times I purchased this product, it was "sold and shipped by Amazon."

The product never arrived! The perfume is absolutely phenomenal but I purchased it from somewhere else

The perfume does not smell like my past Bal D’Afrique and the scent only lasts for 30 minutes without the warm dry down- only a slight synthetic scent. It was a disappointment as the packaging was dented where it held the perfume. The perfume was also clear in colour whereas my other bottles were soft yellow. The cellophane wrap was not sealed securely and opened which was disconcerting.
