It is a very pretty glass bottle in which you can brew your tea. It is good quality and a pleasure to use, though I would hesitate to say it is leak proof. Perhaps if you screw the lid on very tight, but then it may not be so easy to open it again as the glass is slippery. There are two filters included and if you put your tea between them, you can drink directly from the bottle without getting the tea in your teeth :-) However, it is definitely not a thermos flask. When you pour hot water in, the bottle becomes very warm, and it gives away the heat quite quickly. Your tea will stay hot for longer than in a normal bottle, but not as long as in a proper thermos flask. They are open about it and say drinks will stay hot for up to 1h, or up to 2h cold which is true. A good thermos flask will keep temperature for up to 24h.
