I bought this vacuum pump instead of an air compressor to vacuum fill the coolant on my 2004 prius. I didnt see any reviews or notes that it could be use in that capacity. At first I tried using my 30 amp tire inflator that barely got the needle to move on the vacuum fill kit gauge. Next I tried the Orion vacuum pump. I can say with full confidence that this Orion vacuum pump will work excellent for the vacuum fill of a car coolant system. As long as you have the correct air fittings it will make quick work of the vacuum coolant fill. Once everything is connected and you turn it on, it takes less than 30 seconds to get the vacuum needle on the vacuum fill kit gauge into the green zone. It provided a very good vacuum and I was quickly able to fill the coolant. Used very little battery, it was still reading full. The Orion being cordless is extremely convenient to take out to the vehicle your working on. Highly recommend it.

The batery is a little bit weak, but the pump works very well.

I love this little pump, on very larger AC system it takes a couple of minutes to vacuum but works really well and the battery life is really good, would recommend this to every mobile ac technician.

So far the pump is working ok, be careful not to add the entire bottle of oil that is included in the box as I did. It blew oil all over the place due to being over full (my fault). The pump isn't strong enough to pull all the moisture out of a Automotive AC system, buy a better two stage pump for that. I am using the pump in a vacuum chamber, it works okay but it is very slow to get the vacuum down to 30". It works for me I am a traveling technical trainer and the battery power is the best for the class demo's.

I bought one of theses a couple of years ago and like it so much I bought a second one. I work as a refrigeration tech on commercial equipment and this thing will pull down a 2 door freezer in like 10 minutes. Used it last year to pull a vacuum on a York 2 stage roof top unit and it worked like a charm. The battery will pull down 1 RTU or about 7-8 self contained fridges. Weights a little more than a drill.

Apenas llevo 3 vacíos (uno de ellos lo dejé 1 hora con 20 minutos y se acabó la pila) Conclusiones: Para equipos de 12 mil btu esta perfecto, equipos más grandes no lo sé si es lo mejor La pila dura más de lo que dice el fabricante, aunque tarda casi 24 hs en cargarse desde 0 a 100%. Es muy compacta, muy liviana y muy cómoda. Por el precio la recomiendo mucho. Solo me gustaría poder adquirir otra pila pero no sé dónde conseguirla

De momento no la he probado. Pero se ve de buena calidad y pesa muy poco, si es para llevarla y traerla a donde sea. Al llegarme estaba derramada de aceite, supongo que es normal, eso suele pasar con herramienta que lleva aceite dentro, pero considero que la paquetería pudo tener más cuidado en ese aspecto. Cuando la utilice, actualizo el comentario para dar opiniones

seems to work as intended but seems to have a hard time getting the vacuum low enough for ac units..seems well made, only one battery so make sure its fully charged.
