From visionary filmmaker Luca Guadagnino, Challengers stars Zendaya as Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. Married to a champion on a losing streak (Mike Faist – West Side Story), Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against the washed-up Patrick (Josh O’Connor – The Crown) – his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. As their pasts and presents collide, and tensions run high, Tashi must ask herself, what will it cost to win. Review: Could have been better - It was good ; I thought it would be better. ENGROSSING
Fun and entertaining but not a great film, simply a very, very good one. All the principals are extremely in step and quite persuasive, a different look at tennis! Hats off to Guadagnino who offers an easy, good watch.

Boring and too much time jumping
Very boring film with no purpose. She always plays the same non emotional, blank stare, non caring person in any film or series I see her. The constant time jumping is trying to get you to understand the backstory but convinces me its just bad story planning. In the trash.

Subpar Movie Lacking Plot. Great Score. Zendaya is Stylish (as Always)
Honestly, I was really disappointed with Challengers. The film carries this overwhelming sense of self-importance, and the "up to your interpretation" ending felt more like a cop-out than a clever twist. I had already spoiled the plot for myself by reading about it online, so I knew what I was getting into, but I still held out hope that the experience of actually watching it might redeem the story. It didn't. I rented this movie for $6, and thank goodness I didn’t spend the full $20 to rent it because I would’ve been even more frustrated. Zendaya, as usual, delivers a solid performance, but it’s painfully obvious that the two male co-leads can’t keep up with her. There’s a noticeable imbalance in their performances, which drags the film down even further. Visually, I’ll give the movie credit. The cinematography and overall aesthetic are beautiful, but the overuse of slow-motion shots makes it feel like it’s trying too hard to be a Zack Snyder film. It completely disrupts the pacing and adds unnecessary drama to scenes that really don’t need it. And, of course, as can be expected, the Reznor score doesn't miss. The film’s tone shifts awkwardly between trying to be a high-brow sports drama and a romantic thriller, but it doesn’t fully commit to either. The stakes never feel high enough, and the characters, especially the two male leads, feel underdeveloped. I found myself not really caring about any of them by the time the movie reached its ambiguous conclusion. Rom-Thrills are so rare these days, it really had the concept of the film on its face genuinely had the potential to give the genre a second wind. In the end, Challengers just doesn't deliver. It’s a beautifully shot film, but the story is underwhelming, the pacing is off, and the performances are uneven. If you're a Zendaya fan, maybe it's worth a watch just for her, but don’t expect much beyond that.

Three unattractive, unlikable athletes on the prowl.
As an amateur tennis player, ardent fan, daughter of a teaching pro, and Stanford alum, I am embarrassed for all of us in these categories. I cannot understand how this improbable, convoluted film warranted award nominations in any category - certainly not the (over)acting. Zendaya's expressions were more "entitled" (as another comment mentioned), "sourpuss" and "mean" than sexy or loving. As for the "boys," who apparently did not mature beyond their early teens, it was hard to see why any woman would be attracted, much less married, to either of them, and there was little chemistry in the sex scenes. Having said all of this, however, the music - which did win a Golden Globe award for best original score - was indeed compelling, the cinematography was excellent, there were some unrealistic but humorous images (fans in the bleachers all turning their heads at the same time, for example), and the unexpected ending was kind of cute. Watch at your own risk - you might enjoy it, but it hardly rates the superlatives it attracted.

Box is abit flimsy mostly due to a huge hole cut out of it on the inside for a recycle logo to tell you that you cant recycle the type plastic the case is made from. It makes me worry the paper cover could get damaged. The print of the paper and the plastic film are so loose im (again) worried about possible damage. Ive seen people whove burned dvds/cds do a better job at printing covers and fitting them ect with a less sloppy plastic film over it than this. It was cheap so i dont mind, i just love physical media. Havent had a chance to play it yet x

Image blu ray et musique excellente. Un film dans la même veine que the social network. Cela faisait longtemps que je n’avais pas vu un film aussi bien filmé et joué. Un incontournable !
