After 1 year of use., here are my thoughts... I have a 2009 G37 Journey, always took good care of the car & paint—more-so than the above average car buyer but just short of the car crazies who all they do is tend to their cars. I regularly washed, waxed, carnuba'd, etc... but after many years of driving in Los Angeles, the car has some minor imperfections that really only I notice, yet still looks close to brand new. Most actually think all it does is sit in the garage because it appears to be darn near mint. I got tired of constantly. waxing, etc... it just becomes cumbersome after a while. SO I checked in to Ceramic coatings, and after exhaustively researching, I came across Jimbos and watched all his videos & torture tests. So I bought it... APPLICATION: I applied as directed, and did 3 applications my first time. I didn't clay bar the car, I didn't use any stripping soaps, NOTHING, just went right in after a fresh wash and applied Jimbos TAS... Incoming monsoon rains in SoCal, literally 1.5 months of straight HEAVY MF**N MONSOON rain... I was rather skeptical that this would hold up, as I am with most things, so... 1 week: it repelled water like incels repel women. 2 weeks: same as above. 3 weeks: I'm thinking there's no way this stuff holds... b ut yep, it was holding, water just she off the car like a dog shaking off fleas... 4 weeks in: still worked. 5 weeks in: this stuff held it's ground. 6 weeks in: stilllll goinggggg... NOTE: I even did the windows and even with the wiper flow, this stuff shed water off my windshield all this time. I honestly didn't have to use my wipers as much, the rain just rolled off like it didn't even exist. After the monsoon rains & the heat rolled in, in that blaring sun I left the car to sit outside during the day just to push it and really test Jimbo's... IT (JIMBOs) STILL HELD. Yeah after all of that there was SOME performance loss, but I'll tell ya, this stuff put the best waxes I ever had to complete and total shame. It went for a total of about 5 months without reapplying and still was repelling water... Photo 1: Roughly 3 months in after more heavy monsoon rain... Photo 2: at the 5 month point in a really misty rain... I have to say it, this stuff FAR exceeded my expectations and surprised TF out of me. So I used it on my GFs car and honestly, it never looked better. ANOTHER NOTE: I read all the negative reviews here and I have to be brutally blunt... those people are either a bitter competitor or they're just completely lacking frontal lobes because Jimbo's, all things considered, is an AMAZING product. FINALLY an auto detailing product that not only delivers in terms of all-around performance expectations, but also is SUPER EASY to use and smells nice. AWESOME JOB ON CREATING THIS PRODUCT JIM... I'm actually a 30+ year creative director & prod developer who's worked on & helped develop (many with formulators, like yours needed) so many products that we use and/ or consume every day... & I truly appreciate a genuinely quality product. I will be ordering the big a** bottle so I can regularly take care of mine, my GF's and her brothers cars...

I can't get over how easy it is to apply and how durable this is once applied. Silky smooth finish and repels water like you dream it should. Highly recommend

I sprayed two cars in just 30 minutes, and the results are fantastic! The product goes on quickly and easily, leaving a slick surface that's impressive to the touch. My new car started out clean, and my 5-year-old car was noticeably dirty before application, but after spraying both vehicles, they both have a beautiful, high-gloss shine. The windows also came out crystal clear and are easy to wipe clean. This spray gives professional-level ceramic coating results with great durability and shine, making it a must-have for anyone wanting to protect their paint and maintain a great look with minimal effort.

Applied Jimbo's Tough as Shell on my sedan after doing a rinse-less wash and I'm very impressed. Most spray sealants don't want you to apply in the sun but I had no issues applying it. My car is ceramic coated back in August 2025 and I applied Jimbo's on Oct 31, 2025. Very easy to apply on the car. Just spray on microfiber towel and little on your panel and wipe it in. After a minute, I took another microfiber to buff the panel. Very easy and after completely applying it on my clean car, it really shined. The process worked well and was very happy with the results. As of this writing, I haven't washed or applied anything else and the car still looks amazing. It's my daily driver and the shine and gloss are still there. It's even rained a few times and the water beading is still solid. Price seemed to be in the higher range but I thought I'd give it a try and if it continues over the months as advertised, then it's a good value.

****** 07/31/24: I dropped a few stars for a few reasons. This product doesn't hold up well after a month. Tried it on 4 of my cars with different colored paints. 2012 Honda CR-V Blue. 2006 Pontiac Vibe Red. 2015 Hyundai Elantra Sandstone. 2017 Honda CR-V White. All cars prepped and paint in excellent condition. The slickness on application is excellent. The shine isn't as noticeable as something like Groits 3 in 1. The biggest problem I see is that even with layered applications, it tends to break down after 30 days, when the Groits 3 in 1 seems unchanged. Jimbo's is easiest to apply of all spray on ceramics I've tried, and I like that it is water based. Groits is more difficult, as it likes to streak on darker cars. In the end, Groits is MUCH cheaper and lasts longer, so I'm sticking with Groits. ******* This product is behaving more like a true ceramic coating. It’s remarkable how much it repels water and other chemicals and road contaminants. It’s been a few weeks in the South Carolina sun and heat, after a wash the car is just as slick as the day I put it on. My results with Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions, Lithium, Chemical Guys, 303, and others have never been this good, even short term. They all perform good, but this performs excellent. Pros: Protection Shine Endurance Ease of application Quick flash time Very little to no streaking Plays nice on top of existing products (other brands). Layers Nice sprayer. It’s not junk. Cons: Unknown long term protection Cost Will a larger company pressure Jimbo off the market. I like his tips and YouTube channel. It was worth giving this a shot. Ordered another bottle today

This product is easy to use. It really shows during your second wipe off (buff) with a second rag. I use it every few weeks and my car is super slick and water repellant. But my truck I coated months ago and it is just as slick I just don’t maintain it like my car. It doesn’t streak like a lot of other brands I’ve tried. For your first application I would wait a few days before washing the car again to really let it cure.
