Powilling 6.5Ah Battery Replacement for Greenworks 40V Battery 29472 29462

Barely lasted three months. I’m trying to find a way to contact the manufacturer, but I can’t. I used it about once or twice a week and charged it with a green work branded charger and it simply won’t work anymore.

0-stars. Don't buy this battery. Waste of money, it's going in the trash. Gave the battery more than enough time to charge before first use, was able to mow just a few strips of lawn before it gave out and stopped working. Battery had been showing full when I first started mowing and when it stopped working it was still showing half... but wasn't working anymore. Connection and everything else was good. My original battery worked fine so it definitely wasn't the mower itself.

These work well and are easy to install in my genuine Greenworks backpack blower and their 5 amp fast charger. I tried several other replacement batteries which were extremely difficult to get in or out. Furthermore several other brands will not charge to the full 4 light level. I also have the genuine Greenworks 5 amp battery and purchased 2 of the POWLLING 40V 6.5Ah which work great. The Powlling ones sell at a reasonable price. They are great - buy them

Doesn’t charge as well as the original.

I am always a little "iffy" when buying replacement batteries for other tools from anything other than the original "brand." However,one of my original GreenWorks batteries died while we wer doing major yard work, and I needed to order a new one. I got this one via overnight shipping because the actual GreenWorks batteries are so incredibly expensive. Can't say how it will do over time, but it charged fast and held up really well over two days of almost nonstop use in multiple GreenWorks tools, so at this point I am really pleased.

Update May 2026: This company has good customer service. They responded quickly to the email below with a full refund. This was well after the return window. I will try them again the next time I need a battery. Original post: Product worked once. Now works for three seconds and shuts off. Troubleshooting ideas did not help. Return window closed. Can’t find a way to contact manufacturer. Can’t find if there was a warranty. Perhaps manufacturer will look at this and respond? If so, I will update this review.

This product does not retain a charge. It shows to be discharged in seconds after it supposedly charges. I bought this new in February and have tried everything possible to remedy what is clearly a defective product. I cant even fond a way to contact the seller or manufacturer to get a refund for the supposed 1 yr warranty. This is fraudulently advertised and sold.

Arrived on time. Packaging was excellent. Charged right up to max capacity.
