Perfect fit, excellent construction
This Mann filter has excellent construction, with fine quality paper and a very straight, pliable gasket. It fits the air filter box perfectly. I have tried so many kinds of filters and Mann really are the best, at least for European cars. I've used them on Volvos, VWs and BMWs without any issues. The best!

Excellent quality replacement.
This is a great filter, the quality is certainly there and is exactly OEM standard. It’s always a good idea to replace your engine’s air filter at the same time as your cabin filter. About every 12,000 miles or less if you drive in less favorable conditions. High pollen, dust, and smoke will reduce the life of your filter faster, so be sure to stay mindful of these things as well. A dirty, clogged filter will reduce your engine’s performance and even begin to harm vital components should you wait too long.

Fits a 2018 VW Golf 1.8T A/T
Easy install, the foam on the bottom is for moisture. Amazon said this wouldn’t my 2018 VW GOLF 1.8T, and recommended the 30-005 which is more expensive. This item (30-004) fits just fine, installed 2 days ago no issues, engine runs fine, horsepower and throttle response still intact. Will update if anything changes. Cheers.

Perfect Fit VW Mark VII Sportwagen
Bought this for my 2015 VW Golf Sportwagen TDI SE and it was a perfect fit. Much less expensive than the OEM filter and the product seems nearly identical... In fact, I think this filter may even be slightly higher quality.

It works!
I've a 2017 Golf R. When you first place the filter into air box, it will sit a little high. Don't worry about it. Screw the airbox cover back on. When you unscrew it, the filter looks fine. I would recommend getting a non cold weather option for summer. For example, Toronto or New York State weather.
