Not worth the money. Steel frame inserts into holes in too thin wood base and wobbles when balls are swinging. Poorly engineered, needs diagonal bracing and heavier base.

I was thinking this was the type of Newtons cradle that swing’s knocking the other side out and continues on. I find this version to be more interesting and you don’t have to worry about the clicking noise because these never hit each other. It comes mostly put together in the box. It comes with some white gloves to keep it from getting fingerprints while putting it together and a cleaning cloth for later. A ruler that’s also included must be used to get the desired effects. While I think that it’s a neat table top item there’s really not a whole lot to it. If they wanted to sell more I feel like the price should be $10 cheaper. It has more balls than the other style cradle but it’s really just basic components. My kids and I enjoy this and from what I see there’s many more of the other styles than these making it a little more unique. I have no reason not to recommend this although I feel like it’s a little overpriced.

I have to agree with the reviewer that wrote: "This is too expensive for the dimensions to be off as much as they are. It works in the loosest sense. People who don’t know how it’s supposed to work will like it, but if you want to visualize clean waveforms, this is not the one." Therefore, I cannot recommend this to anyone in good conscience.

This is a fascinating display of objects in motion. It can be fun to watch and play with and makes an interesting gift. The idea is that the cycle of a pendulum is determined by the length of the support, balls on shorter lines go back and forth faster than balls on longer lines. This series of pendulums go shortest to longest in regular intervals so when you start them all together (using the ruler), you can watch them go through different patterns. I enjoy starting the motion every once in a while to relax and watch the pattern. It is also fun to demonstrate to others.
