A compact solution - Great addition for the run and gun film maker
At first I did not like this drone and felt I should have stuck with the conventional drones ( like my AUTEL 6k drone I crashed and replaced with this at half the price) and not gone with FVP - There are a couple of moves I love to do with the conventional drone I've not been able to master on this drone yet - But now I am finally mastering this drone , I have to say its s lot of fun, kind of like a video game experience if your into flying games. (Starfox is the last video game I played : giving away my age) PRO's A fair price / compact and easy to travel with - very little weight / an easy unit to start and get up in the sky / LOVE the on board memory - no fiddling around with cards, although you have that option / Very well constructed : hit a tree the drone fell over in the forest, I thought "it's a wrap" I double clicked the take off button, and the drone was on it's side I could see from the angle of the camera , and somehow this little sucker started up took flight, wrestled its way through branches and twigs etc and I managed to get it back in the sky and return home (impressive) so it's pretty indestructible in my experience thus far - a great design with the propellers being encased. CONS: because it is very light it feels like a cheap toy, but that may be also it's strength, but it does not handle windy skies like a heavier drone, when your flying it looks like it's wobbling around but when I check the footage it's not as bad so maybe there is some internal gimble thing happening that's adjusting for that. I can't seem to do a full Birdseye shot parallel to the ground without the camera filming a corner of the propellers in the shot. OVERALL : a great drone for the price and amazing for sports and flying like a jet pilot speeding towards a roof top and you can zoom right over the top accurately missing the roof by inches. Even with a 6k drone in my travel rig for the cinematic shots sweeping around spinning in a circle, while turning angles etc - this done has it's own applications so it's apple and oranges and there will be times you can fly this drone into one window of a house and out the other widow a lot easier than a larger drone. And the images are crisp . I will get my monies worth out this drone for sure = good job DJI

Quality Fun Drone With Awesome 4K Video
To start with, I own the original DJI Phantom 4K drone. It is a beast, reliable and still works perfectly. I just hate having to connect to a tablet or phone each and every time. Plus the size, it's far from portable. I wanted a drone that was portable, quick and easy to setup each time with great video picture and of course, it had to be DJI. I was hesitant on this one as I also want the Air 3S when it comes out, if it comes out to the mass market in the U.S. I went ahead and picked this Avata 2 and got the Fly More Combo Pack with 3 batteries. This is the best way to buy this as you will use the extras it comes with and will save over $150 from buying the extras seperately. Even though I own a DJI drone, there was still a bit of a learning curve. My main appeal for this drone was the FPV Goggles you get with it. I am used to a tablet or phone and never used goggles. Man, it is a whole new world. I have used this drone only a few times due to our great Oregon rainy weather, and flying with goggles is so much different. You are part of the flight and not just on the sidelines. The hardest part is learning the distance of the drone from trees, people and surroundings you can't see. You basically see what is in front of you, above you or below you, depending on how you point the camera. It's pretty awesome, but it does take some getting used to. start slow and cautious and be in an open area to start. Have a chair as some people may not be able to stand well as again, you feel you are part of the drone. Joystick is a love/hate relationship. It is new and I am still learning it... a little. I went ahead and bought the RC Controller 3 si i can use manual mode as well as familiar control similar to my Phantom. A beginner that has never used a controller may get used to it faster, but for myself, it is a real challenge. I wish they included the controller and not the joystick. Note: You need to use the joystick for ARCO meneuvers. These are the flips and such. The drone itself is very small compared to my Phantom and is very light. Handles very well and easy to control. The uodating and binding (linking) the drone, controller and/or joystick and goggles was pretty easy. You can use either joystick or controller and if you want to switch, you can do it without programming. The Avata 2 is pretty quiet, quick and very responsive. Battery time states 23 minutes....yeah, in a perfect world. Batteries last me about 17-18 minutes of flight time. That's really not too bad as I shoot 4K video continually and up/down alot as well fast top speed runs. I have only shot 4K 60fps and it is clear, beautiful videos. All and all, this is an awesome and fun drone. Again, get the extra batteries 'Fly More Combo' as you will need them. This combo pack also has a 3 battery charger which makes it easy to charge your batteries. The case it comes with is really good quality and can fit everything inside it, including the extra controller. Overall I rate this drone a 4.5 right now. Had it come with the controller instead of joystick, it would be a solid 5. Highly recommend it. Oh, I am planning on also getting the Air 3S still. I love shooting video and that one has a top of line camera. I am not complaining on this included camera though. It shoots great video. Don't pay more than the $1199 SRP though for this set. I see some outrageous pricing....

Great FPV drone for novice flyers. Tons of fun.
Good quality. Fun to fly. Works well. No obstacle avoidance but does avoid the ground while flying at low altitude. It has basic RTH - works but not extremely accurate. Find my drone features are limited so I wouldn’t fly it far from home. Can be used as a camera drone - good quality camera. But its strong suit is a fun, agile, fast FPV drone. Limited battery flight time - get a fast charger. The wireless control stick is a blast.

Great kit for exploring.
Received my order a day before it was projected to arrive. Everything was brand new, still wrapped in plastic. Will be buying more from this seller! The Avata 2 Flymore package itself is amazing. Clear 4k video feed in the googles, easy to charge up everything with usb c. The drone itself is actually pretty light compared to other fpv cinewhoops I have built and flown. Turn on the goggles, turn on the motion controller and turn on the Avata 2 and everything connects to each other quickly and you are in the air in no time. I picked this up for the ease of it all. No more piles of 6s lipos spending a decent amount of time charging them all, then after flying storage charging them all. With the Avata 2 flymore package you just slide the batteries into the charging case, pop a usbc into the case and away it goes. Takes about 45-60min to charge all 3 batteries back up.

Impressive Build Quality, Survived a Crash With No Damage
I love my DJI Avata 2 — the quality and functionality are excellent, and the FPV experience is amazing. The features and connectivity are smooth, making it really fun and easy to fly. I do feel like it doesn’t reach quite as far as the first DJI model, but it’s still plenty for most flights. Durability is impressive — I hit a tree at full speed and nothing broke, which says a lot about the build. The size is compact but powerful, and with the extra batteries in this Fly More Combo, I get plenty of flight time. Overall, great value and a solid upgrade.

Great Entry Point into FPV
This drone is awesome if you want a taste of what flying an FPV drone feels like, but still want the steady handling of a camera drone. It’s definitely quicker and more agile than your typical camera drone, but DJI added a Pause button that basically stops the drone mid-air and makes it hover. If things start to get out of control, just hit pause and it airbrakes immediately. I was honestly surprised at how fast it reacts. It really helps build confidence when you want to push this drone a bit. Battery life isn’t amazing, though. Compared to a regular camera drone, it doesn’t last as long. DJI says you’ll get around 23 minutes per battery, but I usually got more like 15 in real-world use. Thankfully, the bundle comes with three batteries and you’ll need them. On the bright side, the charging hub is great. It can move power around between batteries and top off the one that’s closest to full first. Super useful when you're out flying and need to get back in the air quickly. Moving onto the camera: it’s great for video, just okay for stills. If you’re into action shots, it shines. You can shoot 4K at 100fps for slow motion, or go with 4K/60fps for a smoother, cinematic look (tip: set the shutter speed to 1/120 and convert it to 30fps later. Thank me later). The stabilization is solid too, and you can even turn it off if you plan to add it in post using something like Gyroflow. As for photos, they’re decent but not amazing. This drone doesn’t love to sit still. It sways a bit because it’s so light, which makes getting clean still shots difficulty depending on the weather. If photography is your main goal, you might want to stick with a traditional camera drone. If you’re into FPV or want to learn, Manual Mode is going to be your endgoal. I’m no pro, but I’ve seen some seriously cool footage from people who know how to fly it. I gave it a try myself, and yeah it’s tough lol. Be ready to crash a few times. Don't worry, this drone can take it. Just know you’ll need to adjust a few settings and buy the RC controller separately to unlock full manual flying. Speaking of controllers, your experience really depends on which one you use. The included motion controller is super easy and fun to use. It’s responsive and intuitive enough that almost anyone can pick it up and fly with no problem. It even has built-in tricks like flips and drifts. But if you want more precise control, especially if you're flying in manual, the RC controller is the way to go. Even outside of Manual Mode, it just gives you more control overall. If you're just flying for fun, the motion controller is great. But if you're planning to get serious, the RC is worth picking up.

Very awesome drone!
I'm not using my Avata 2 like everybody else... I got this drone to quickly inspect my 50 acres of wooded land. It works very well with only one currently noticed drawback. On a nearby 50 acre open park it's no problem except when I fly too low amongst the trees at about an eighth of a mile away and the HD signal to the goggles drops off. My 50 acres is almost ALL trees so the signal can get pretty poor pretty quickly. I can fly above my trees and drop down in amongst the trees all the way down to ground level inspect what I need and zip back out, but the HD signal to the goggles can get kind of weak in the woods. RC and GPS signal is always better than the HD signal. Sadly, the trees seem to eat that signal up. Other than that, it works great. Instead of me hiking for a couple of hours in the woods to check on a few things, this drone can get to each spot in a couple minutes and I can get everything inspected in less than 20 minutes. I can navigate through all the limbs without issue. Bumping into trees at reasonable speeds is not a problem. It will fly around and into tiny spaces in my woods and safely back out. One other point of detail is... (software update for this option please) I wish it had a compass or heading display in the goggles. It's easy to get directionally lost over my woods (can't do dead reckoning without landmarks) but I always know where "HOME" is with the "H" so I'm not completely lost. RTH works great but I've only initiated it at an altitude above the trees. I fly up from the ground through the gaps between the tree limbs before initiating RTH. I'm just using the simple controller. Battery life is very adequate and easily 20 plus minutes of flying time for each battery. Final review - It's super easy to use, and the image quality in the goggles is only an issue as noted above. I'm definitely keeping it. It mostly does what I need it to do, I just wish the signal to the goggles was stronger. Other than that AND the lack of a compass, it is a very seriously awesome drone and worth every penny, for purposes and needs like mine.
