Just returned from a 10-day trip with this bag as my personal item, paired with a Maxlite international size spinner case. This is a great bag - lightweight, tough, holds a lot, and a light-colored interior so I can see my things. Good design with a large main space and two separate pockets in front. It has structure, stands up and looks solid, but the fabric is flexy and quite soft. Perfect size not just for a United personal item, but also for the beach, a weekend trip, or gym. A major plus for my bony shoulders is that the shoulder strap is VERY padded, making the bag comfortable to carry even when it's packed with heavy stuff. The drawback of packing it heavy is that it is wider than my Maxlite case, and with the bag attached to the handle the case will tend to do face plants. I was able to improve the balance by packing heavy items at the bottom of the case and the back of the bag. This is probably not a concern for people with hard shell cases.

As a flight attendant, I’m picky about my gear—and this bag nails it. Lightweight yet sturdy, with just the right amount of structure to keep everything organized without being bulky. The trolley sleeve fits snugly over my rolling bag, and the interior pockets are a game changer for quick access to essentials. It fits under the seat even on regional jets. Great quality, professional look, and it’s held up beautifully on multiple layovers already. Highly recommend for crew or frequent travelers.

Perfect for travel! Our prior travel tote bag died just before it was needed. After searching Amazon I found this bag. It met the flight sizing requirements and I was very pleased once it was delivered. It fit the necessary items that we needed to keep close. The bag itself easily fit over our luggage handles and made it very easy to tote it along through the airports. All components of this bag worked, no issues. Amazon's delivery was quick and in perfect timing. I recommend this product if you need a carry-on tote.

I got this for a recent 3.5 week trip abroad as a personal item for on airlines with a 17x10x9 inch sizer limit. I was aiming to maximize and this pretty much nailed it. Most backpacks are too long or only 6" deep. Comparable bags that are trending both weigh and cost twice as much. Things I truly like: 1) I could lock both double zip compartments with a single lock because the zipper pulls were long enough to 'meet in the middle'; 2) It slides over a rolling bag handle easily; 3) The internal pockets are just enough; 4) the main compartment zipper goes down the size which enables entry; 4) the shape is nearly a cube maximizing the internal space; 5) The pad on the shoulder strap both cushioned and kept it from slipping when I packed it with ~18 lbs.; 6) The key clip was a surprising touch; 7) The fabric wore well given it also becomes a footrest and was stuffed full and squished into spaces. The few things I would change but aren't deal breakers: 1) Sew the back handle down at the top seam (making both the same length) so it interferes less with the handle sleeve - bonus is that it would add a slot for an umbrella or something else long and slim; 2) Add a zip open bottle holder on one end; 3) Make the two handles a bit longer to fit over a shoulder but still not drag when hanging down the sides. Overall really recommend this bag.

Well made, sturdy, seems very durable. Wanted something better than a duffle bag, and that matches my Travel Pro luggage. Very pleased.

Well made and well designed bag, but a little smaller than I really needed. I have a new travelpro carry on size suitcase and one that is about 20 years old and has been heavily used (it’s in the older carry on size, both are the professional ones that are supposed to be ideal for flight crews). This bag fits perfectly on the newer bag and it also works with the new one, so long as you don’t overpack it (packing is totally my kryptonite!). It works great for smaller planes and fits well in the overhead bin, and in a classic black it’s perfect for all manner of travel. My 10” iPad fits in both the inner zipper pocket and the outer pocket, but not in the outer pocket flap that I think is designed for tablet. The heavy canvas material is durable and strong, can be wiped off easily, and the zippers are smooth and very well made. I really think that TravelPro bags are worth the money, my 20 year old bag has lost one handle just due to age but I can still travel with it-though it’s a 2 wheel model and the wheels are noisy and less than elegant at this point. I will probably look at a carry on and a newer suitcase at some point that are larger-a checkable size-the newer bag ended up being too small for a week trip (this may be more about me overpacking than anything else) but if you’re looking for a great carry on/personal bag that will stand up to heavy use and can slide over your suitcase handle, this is a good value, and even my very overpacked suitcase was stable and didn’t tip with this one on it.

I gave this to my husband for Christmas. It is a very nicely made bag with a classy and sophisticated look. It is a perfect size for overhead compartments or under seat storage. It is spacious and roomy inside. I would recommend Travelpro products for anyone's travel needs.

This is my go-to personal item bag. Durable and fits everything I need in front of me. Easy access. The key clip is a great touch. I love this.
