This item works great. I have been using it for a few months now and i can safely say that it definitely keeps my phone attached to it. The magnet is strong, although during rough terrain the rotating bulb might shift down due to the weight of the phone and the momentum of the drive. Besides that, I am satisfied with the item.

After trying to purchase and fit a new auto vent cellphone holder for my new upgraded iPhone, this item works perfectly. I have a spare older vehicle, 2012 Nissan Altima, that I use to go places where I don't need to worry as much about it getting dings or scratches from shopping carts and such, although this vehicle is in pristine condition. Our state has a new law that no hand-held cellphones can be used while driving so I had no choice but to find a new cellphone vent holder that would fit securely onto the vent structure as my other cellphone holder would not accommodate my new phone. When I tell you I purchased and tried to install three (3) other devices, each as describing that they would fit and be compatible with my vehicle, and they would not, I came across this 1Zero Magsafe CD Phone Holder, and it was a breeze to install and works beautifully, even better than the previous one that I had. My only caution is it is not necessary to over tighten the part that inserts into the CD slot, or you may break that slot unintentionally. Just tighten enough to make the unit snug. Also, if you have a PopSocket Phone Grip (the regular round unit), there is no need to remove the PopSocket because it fits right inside the magnetic ring.

Perfect fit for automobile cd player. Once inserted, turn bolt to secure into older and stops it from falling out… can adjust to hold phone many ways.. horizontal , vertical or at an angle…

..it stayed put in the cd slot. My experience was not as good as other customers. For clarity, I'm using mine in the '18 Subaru Forester and it's not working out for me. The magnet on the magsafe adapter is a strong magnet, as expected but you won't be able to adjust the angle of your phone without pulling the entire holder out of the cd slot. It has a lot of adjustment options so you can find that perfect angle. As it stands, I won't be using this as it isn't secure in my cd slot.

Make sure you insert the entire back end into the CD slot, then tighten the butterfly screw to ensure the phone holder is secure. After that, just enjoy. Product received as advertised. Solid design—does not flop around on bumpy roads. Tested in both a 2012 Mazda and a 2016 Honda. If your phone does not use MagSafe or your case is thick, the included magnetic metal disk, which attaches to your phone or case, is a handy addition. VERDICT: Well-built, practical, and worth the price if you want a secure, no-nonsense mount.

Great option for older car models or dashboards that are curved. 4 stars as it is quite shaky at times. Fits my 2010 Pontiac Vibe.

Sturdy holder if you have a car with a CD player and don't use the CDs. The magnet is strong and easily adjustable. My phone has fallen off a couple of times, but it is so infrequent I would not call it a negative of the product. After using it for a couple of months I am happy with the build quality of the phone holder even though it might damage your CD player.
