One of the best albums I've ever heard. The vinyl record arrived in excellent condition and the color of the vinyl is beautiful.

An incredible concept album and film package. The music is catchy and thought-provoking, and the accompanying film showcases amazing artistic vision, costumes, and set design. A fantastic piece for physical media collectors and fans alike.

I definitely loved Melanie’s softmore album, K-12; there are fun songs as well as a movie that goes along with the story which is very entertaining. I purchased the vinyl & it’s beautiful. I have to say that her Freshman record, Crybaby, was better. I’m a fan, I love her uniqueness, & K-12 is great, but it’s better if you watch the movie along with it. Some of the songs have an awkwardness to them due to the way she went about making this project. It’s not like Beyonce’s “Lemonade,” in case that’s what you have in your mind. She made a movie, then she separately is releasing music videos for each song as time is going by. It’s beautiful visually. She definitely put a lot of effort into this; I just think there was an easier way for her to go about this that would have been easier for her and would have allowed things to flow better. It’s worth buying, definitely, just make sure you purchase the CD/DVD bundle or buy the movie on iTunes etc. and listen to the music by whatever means you usually go with. It’s the best way to fully appreciate this musical project.

A la première écoute de ce CD, je me suis dis que toutes les chansons se ressemblaient plus ou moins et que cet album ressemblait au premier album, « Cry Baby », de la chanteuse. Cependant, il est impératif de visionner le film pour être totalement imprégné des chansons qui sont finalement bien différentes les une des autres et qui sont exceptionnelles à tout point de vue. Le film est lui aussi très intéressant, surtout lorsque l’on sait que c’est la première réalisation de Melanie Martinez. Depuis son passage dans The Voice USA, la chanteuse a su se distinguer par son style unique et sa créativité ainsi que par ses nombreux talents - chant, écriture, réalisation. Malgré une attente de 4 ans entre son premier opus et cet album, les fans sont au rendez-vous et ce n’est pas pour rien, cet album vaut clairement le détour.

Als ich dieses Produkt pünktlich zum Release am 6. September erhalten habe, war ich erst etwas verwirrt, da ich dachte, es würde in dieses typischen Plastik CD Box ankommen. Jedoch ist es bedrucktes Karton, was mich sehr überraschte. Geschützt wird der Inhalt durch 2 Karton schichten pro Seite, von denen es insgesamt 3 gibt. Inhalt ist CD+DVD+Songtextheft mit Bildern. Leider sind in diesem Heft ein paar Rechtschreibfehler und ist wegen der Schrift etwas schwer zu lesen. Seit 2016 höre ich mir die Lieder der Sängerin Melanie Martinez an. Ich war erst skeptisch ob K-12 Cry Baby, ihr vorheriges Album, toppen würde, aber schon während dem Film hat es mich begeistert, sodass ich es mir jeden Tag anhöre. Für jeden ist ein Titel dabei, der einen anspricht. Melanie hat eine außergewöhnliche Stimme. Jeder, der mal etwas anderes sehen und hören will, sollte sich den Film ansehen und sich das Album anhören. Es ist kostenlos auf YouTube verfügbar und hat währenddessen keine nervigen Werbeunterbrechungen. Auch die Lieder sind kostenlos auf YouTube zu finden.
