It leaves the trays feeling immediately smoother and cleaner, though the whitening results seem to be more of a gradual process rather than an instant change. However, I did have some concerns regarding longevity and build quality. Because the bottle is small, you run through the product fairly quickly if you use it multiple times a day. Additionally, after some time, the pump mechanism becomes hard to pump, which makes it a bit frustrating to get the last bit of foam out. This product was suggested by my Periodontist, who I started seeing three years ago. I had braces as a child, and again as an adult (children in the 80s weren't told to wear their retainer at night for the rest of their lives). I religiously wear a retainer at night now, and I have utilized this product for the last three years, applying it before I don the upper and lower retainers, as well as applying it when I wash and rest the retainers in their case during the day.
