Very easy to fit, different to a lot of mechanisms but essentially screw the provided bracket to the ceiling and then attach the light base to the bracket. I was concerned that I have artex ceilings but the shape of the base allows for inconsistencies so the final fit looks seamless. It’s a very bright light but being able to control the intensity and then the mood lighting ring is great. I’ve set up both individually so I can ask Alexa to turn on the edge lighting for a relaxed vibe. It’s expensive but not as much as some of the competitors. It works well in a bedroom setting when you need a bright light for dressing so I can see this working in a lounge or large space too. It was super easy to set up so I’m happy.

Amazing ! I have two of these, plus another smart Aqara bulb in my kitchen, replacing two previous three bulb ceiling lights with a shade round them. The light is brilliant - can finally see what I’m doing and the voice control through Alexa of dimming / temperature / ring colours etc is great. Would be cool to have the main lights RGB as well, but realistically we’d rarely use it other than the various temperatures of white which are already there. Took a bit of fiddling to get things set up with smart switches as well so they pass the family test (ie always work with a physical switch) - used Sonoff ZBM5 three gang switches x 2 as we have two way switching on three circuits. Thankfully he kitchen is a newer bit of the house so has neutral wires at the switches, so by wiring one end of the old two-way circuits as pass through I could put a ZBM5 at the master end (the one with permanent live feed) and set up two circuits for the smart bulbs (1&2 lights) using detached relays (so the smart bulbs always maintain power) and the third using the physical relay for the remaining circuit with two dumb lights in it. The other end then has a ZBM5 taking live / return from the pass through and has all switches set as detached. Some Home Assistant Z2M group and automation setup then lets me control the smart lights with physical switches just as they used to be as well as separate voice commands for the rings / white lights through Alexa. It’ll be a surprise for the family that the lights finally ‘just work’ and they can still voice control everything - on / off / dim / change ring colours etc. Apologies for the long ramble, but this has been a bit of an adventure and I’m really pleased with the result ! The lights / smart switches are a match made in heaven. Only thing missing is that the switches don’t support dimming at the switch.

This light performs really well and looks great on my living room's white ceiling. It was very easy to install however I had trouble pairing to the aqara hub. I called the UK tech number and they were very helpful, I stated my light was continuously pulsing when pairing and they immediately identified that as me using a dimmer switch. Once I bypassed the switch there was no issue. I didn't remove a star even though this was not in the literature as I feel this was me being a bit dim (excuse the pun). I mainly use this with Alexa so some of the settings are not there that exists in the Aqara app, but I'm still very satisfied.

It's a nice light, bigger than I expected but quite easy to fit & while it's big/bright at down lighting, due to the solid ring on the outside and the light itself being subservient to that ring, it casts a shadow in the upper portion of the light, not much of an issue but certainly an aesthetic worth mentioning, the ring light is purely a low yield ambient rgb (no w) light so can't compensate that shadow gap. But it integrated well/easily with Alexa and Home Assistant. Ive noticed with mine one of the LEDs on the ring isn't replicating colours as accurately as the others, fortunately that portion is facing the back wall and seldom gets seen in a way that it's noticeable by anyone, but that's a shame for the price tag.

This light is so nice. it seemed massive when it arrived and I got a bit worried but once it was on the cieling it looks amazing and its super bright. I love having the nice light and having this in my room makes the ceioling seem taller. its super functional and really amazing value for money especially as i bought it on prime day.

Came in a very large box. About the size of my radiator. The light was pretty easy to install. Had to bend one of my screw brackets a little as the mounting bracket was a little too big to line up with the holes. Once I managed to get my very short wires from the ceiling in the connectors. Was up and running in no time. It can go to a very bright white even in my really big lounge. The temperature adjustment for the whites is pretty nice and the halo outer ring Is beautiful. Great for notifications visually. When my Aqara doorbell is pressed. Helps a lot with having someone who is hearing impaired in the house.

Fitted in my son's bedroom it's awesome. Completely covered an awful ceiling rose that previous owners fitted in every room of the house. My son uses the outer ring of the light as a night light linked to a smart switch he can turn it on whenever he wants. The ability to adjust brightness and colour to practically any setting you need is awesome. Why settle for a simple light bulb when this gives you so much more functionality. Quality overall is great, better than anything sold by the usual high street stores.

Works perfectly with homekit. Sure, it's unfortunately not as bright as the Govee ceiling light, but the Govee has the worst software imaginable and this just works. It's so easy to use and setup that once done you don't have to worry again (unlike the Govee). Fantastic, just like most of Aqara's smart home devices. Very expensive, but if you just want something bright, that just works - you can't go wrong.

Avevo qualche dubbio a riguardo lo ammetto. Dopo qualche giorno di utilizzo posso essere solo soddisfatto. Semplice l’installazione. Il setup è stato molto veloce e intuitivo, ho già una videocamera ( G2Hpro) che mi ha fatto da Hub. Controllo tutto da HomeKit. Con Siri ho anche la possibilità di “dimmerare la luce” Ampia scelta di colore e temperatura luce primaria ma anche di effetti per la luce ausiliaria. Ottimo lavoro! La straconsiglio.

Una lampara ideal para una habitación con niñas. Junto con sensores de presencia y luz tengo varias automatizaciones que facilitan mucho la vida. Además poder separar el plafón de luz blanca y el anillo de colores resulta muy útil en según que situación. Requiere un Hub para funcionar pero luego se integra en HomeKit y se puede manejar con Siri

Coming from the Govee Ceiling Light Pro, this aqara trumps it in size, brightness and ease-of-use. I had the govee light for about a month and I could not use scenes or control only 1 of the 2 led strips via Home Assistant. With the T1M from Aqara, you can quickly connect it through Zigbee2MQTT and have all the options right there in the app. I only did not find the 'moving scenes' but that is not a big issue for me. I also added it directly to the aqara app, which then has the extra scenes. Which would be great if I was not using HA. I can now set it up as a night light when we are in bed, but need to get up and dont want to be blinded. And during the day, it can be on full blast to light the whole hallway. Installation was easily done in about 5 minutes. with 3 screws, 3plugs and quickly plugging in 3 cables. It automatically connects to your aqara zigbee hub or homeassistant. Will propably buy more to install in all hallways around the house.
