Review: Accountant Turned Tech Junky (I Love Appsumo) - As an active member of AppSumo, I was more than pleasantly surprised at the recent interview with the CEO, Noah. That spun me into several forms of action, thanks Noah! I purchased the book & kindle versions! BTW congratulations to you and your new bride... you should be married by now. So to the review.... "Million Dollar Weekend" isn't just a book; it's a masterclass in turning a whirlwind of an idea into a reality, and I had the unique pleasure of diving deeper into its universe during a special Sumo Day Anniversary show. Watching Noah Kagan gear up for a webinar on this gem, alongside Olo as the moderator, was like getting a backstage pass to the creative process. The discussion peeled back the curtain on how Noah drew from veins of pure inspiration to craft his narrative. It wasn't just about penning down a story; it was about stitching together pieces of his life, insights into entrepreneurship, and the art of impactful storytelling. The journey to finding the right ghostwriter, to me, mirrored the adventure within the pages itself—full of unexpected turns, challenges, and a quest for authenticity. Hearing Noah talk about the meticulous process of integrating customer feedback into the book resonated with me. I have been blessed to help over 25 startup companies and one thing for sure... your Customer is your #1 asset (Don't ever forget that). It's not just about telling a story; it's about telling a story that speaks, that resonates, that moves. This approach to weaving real-world insights into sales and marketing through storytelling underscored the book's underlying message: the power of narrative in inspiring success and driving action. The webinar wasn't just an exploration of "Million Dollar Weekend's" creation. It was a treasure trove of strategies on building an engaged audience, ensuring the sustainability of your message, and promoting your work in a way that values depth over breadth. Noah's emphasis on quality, his insights into battling emotional burnout, setting goals, and taking decisive steps towards achieving them were not just tips for aspiring entrepreneurs. They were life lessons, echoing the very essence of what makes his book more than just words on paper. Incorporating these insights into my view of "Million Dollar Weekend" has only deepened my appreciation for it. It's not only about the laugh-out-loud moments or the thrill of the chase. It's about the heart behind it—the drive to inspire, to guide, and to make a difference. Noah's approach to storytelling isn't just effective; it's transformative. It encourages not just dreaming but doing; not just imagining success but actively pursuing it. I am currently engaged in what I am calling my legacy company that is truly focused on helping lift up individuals, business and the world. So, in wrapping up my thoughts on "Million Dollar Weekend," informed by the rich context of Noah's webinar, I see it as a beacon for anyone looking to navigate the tumultuous but rewarding waters of entrepreneurship and life. It blends humor with wisdom, entertainment with enlightenment, offering a blueprint for success that’s as engaging as it is educational. Watching Noah share his journey added layers to my understanding and enjoyment of the book, making it a personal guide in my own quest for continuous self-improvement and helping others along their paths. I believe that if we lean into this book, we can step my favorite saying... "The Power of We, Elevates Me!" This is a must have to remind each one of us to keep is simple and real. Bye for now! Review: Practical, Direct, Easy to Follow, Creative, Fun: Just do it! - Fully transparency, I'm writing this review while I have 71% of the book still to read and experience! But today I found myself - again - recommending it to a friend, so I figured, it's time to deliver my review. I already knew what project I wanted to work on when I started reading, and Noah's book gave me even more clarity and confidence in my direction. I still had fun doing the idea-building exercises, and this is why I feel confident sharing this book with friends, especially those who are in career transitions, including retirement. There is an invitation earlier in the book to leave this review, and I chose to give it a little more time before I felt solid in doing so, which I do now. I've been following the exercises, and I've even printed out the journal and downloaded the spreadsheets. Noah really makes it easy, playful, and fun to follow along and stay in action. Another thing I've done to bolster my learnings is watch Noah's YouTube channel. There are many videos on there where he goes through the steps in Million Dollar Weekend. That got me ready for the section on vetting the idea (Google trends search, FB population, etc.). I think in my multi-learning brain, the videos made it seem super easy before I even read about it. Helpful! Good luck, have fun, enjoy!

Kagan and Raz recognize that fear often holds entrepreneurs back, preventing them from taking the crucial first step. I Don't Remember. This Book Got Buried in My Kindle Library
I'll be frank. "Million Dollar Weekend" has been collecting digital dust for nearly 5 months before I pushed it to the front lines next to other book titles that demand more of my attention. But here I am after surviving a permanent layoff on Valentine's Day 2026 because of what is a surprising simple reminder that I had to rediscover from Chapter 2. Which is the same reason why I'm obliged to write an early review before I even finish reading the book—the unlimited upside to ASKING. Let me say this: I'm not unhappy, but I've always struggled to finish something that I've started. Perhaps the challenges and lessons throughout the rest of this book will forever STOP the endless cycle of starting and restarting my life's pursuits. I've become an expert at creating, building, and designing profitable ideas in isolation. It's time to share and get out of my own way and let others help me fail forward. I think the foundations and processes within this book can help me do that and get me to my Freedom Number. Thank you for choosing such an overhyped book title that can easily get lost in translation. I still don't like the title, but I wouldn't be here leaving this review if you named your book something else that made me hesitant. Like UX/UI. This is simple and functional.

Its about action
So, I've been around the block with business books, and let me tell you, most of them are a snooze-fest. But Noah Kagan's "Million Dollar Weekend"? That's a whole different story. As an entrepreneur and someone who runs a program that helps entrepreneurs I used to think reading books was the way to go when starting a business. But truth be told, it's just a fancy way of procrastinating. Noah gets it. He cuts through all the fluff and gives you a no-nonsense guide to actually getting things done. Forget about those 100-page rants and empty motivational speeches. Noah breaks it down into actionable steps, from finding your target market to making those all-important sales. It's like having a business coach in your back pocket, cheering you on every step of the way. I have listened to Noah’s podcasts for years now and he is always analyzing and synthesizing this book is the accumulated wisdom of everything I have listened to. Million Dollar Weekend isn't a magic potion that'll make you a millionaire overnight. But it's a roadmap filled with real-life examples, practical advice, and interactive elements to keep you engaged. What sets "Million Dollar Weekend" apart is its simplicity. Noah doesn't just throw a bunch of theories at you; he shows you how to turn your passion into profit in a way that makes sense. And speaking of what makes sense, its all about isn’t it? Noah emphasizes the importance of getting out there and making things happen. Sure, reading about business is great, but at the end of the day, it's the doers who succeed. And with Noah's guidance, you'll be well-equipped to take on whatever challenges come your way. So, if you're tired of spinning your wheels and ready to take action, give this book a shot. It might just be the kick in the pants you need to turn your business dreams into reality. Plus you can read it in one weekend, and put it on your shelf to read again, or refer to items in it that you want to study even more.

Great book, easy to read and implement
Nice story and very insightful. Speak of obvious things but that we don't put into practice and prevents us from actually launching that business. Only finished Chapter 1 but loving it so far and I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to start a business.

From Procrastination to Progress: A Weekend That Transformed My Approach to Success
I picked up Million Dollar Weekend on a whim, intrigued by the bold promise of transforming your life in just a few days. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but it turned out to be one of those books that hits you at the right time and leaves you wondering, Why haven’t I tried this before? What I Loved About the Book The author has this incredible way of making you feel like they’re talking directly to you, like a coach who knows your potential better than you do. The concept is simple: with the right strategies and focus, you can accomplish in one weekend what might otherwise take months. It’s not just about working harder but working smarter, and the book lays out practical, step-by-step strategies to make that happen. What stood out most for me was how approachable everything felt. It’s not packed with vague motivational fluff—it’s actionable advice that you can start applying immediately. The way the author breaks down tasks into manageable chunks while keeping you laser-focused is something I found especially helpful. How It Changed Things for Me I’ll be honest, I was skeptical. But I decided to give it a shot, and let me tell you—it worked. One of the ideas the author emphasizes is prioritizing your highest-value tasks and dedicating focused time to them, treating your weekend like it’s worth a million dollars. That weekend, I tackled a project I’d been procrastinating on for months. By following the book’s strategies—time-blocking, cutting out distractions, and just diving in—I not only finished the project but did so in a way that felt effortless. It was a real “aha” moment for me. Another takeaway was the focus on building meaningful connections. The author talks about reaching out to people who inspire or challenge you, and it pushed me out of my comfort zone. I reached out to someone I admired in my field, and the conversation led to an unexpected collaboration that’s already showing results. Why It’s Worth Reading This book is a wake-up call. It’s for anyone who feels like they’re stuck in a cycle of overthinking or putting things off. The strategies aren’t revolutionary in themselves, but the way the author frames them makes you want to act right away. And once you do, you realize how much time and energy you’ve been wasting on things that don’t matter. Million Dollar Weekend doesn’t just inspire you—it challenges you to show up for yourself. It’s not about magic shortcuts or unrealistic expectations; it’s about what you can accomplish when you give yourself permission to go all in, even for just two days. Final Thoughts If you’re serious about making progress—whether it’s in your business, personal projects, or even just organizing your life—this book is worth every minute of your time. It’s straightforward, encouraging, and packed with strategies that actually work. For me, it wasn’t just a good read; it was a weekend that changed how I approach my goals. I’m already planning my next “million-dollar weekend.”
