How far apart should these be planted

Mine are about a foot apart and they have grown into each other very nicely, they are two years planted and are five foot tall, hope this helps.

What time of year is best for trimming?

I haven’t had to trim them yet as they tend to grow up and sideways to start to form a hedge but I would think you’d trim them at the same time of year as other shrubs

We have a 35 mtr run we’re wanting a red robin hedge can u advise how many plants we’d need to cover the distance

I bought 10 plants to cover a 2m length but planted them staggered in 2 rows.

Mine have, I’m very pleased with them. I keep trimming the tops because I want them bushy
