Review: Love this Brand, Hate that is was an compromised product - My background: I've been using Thalgo for 15 years. And this particular product for at least 5 years. Im in the 45-49 age bracket and live in the Northern Illinois metropolitan area so my skin naturally gets dry in the winter months. Why I'm disappointed with this last purchse: My issue with buying this through desertcart vs a licensed or authorized salon/spa is the quality and integrity of the product. I had to return my past package because it smelled bad. I could not determine or define the code printed/stamped on the foil seal or the box to determine if it was in fact past dated but the foul smell was enough for me to return. Before or during it being shipped to me, was it possible that it was compromised my extreme temperature changes? Possibly. Regardless, I know how its supposed to smell and something wasn't right with this batch. So while I normally love this brand and stand by it, I will no longer be buying it through desertcart just to save a few dollars. I have no guarantee where it came from or if the product was mishandled. Its a pricey high end product and I will go to a reputable salon instead to buy it.
