This cage is sturdy and has many mounting points that even work with my FusionRig camera set up (its like a cineback rig sytem. The half cage is great for being able to hold the camera steady with one hand. I love this product!

The SmallRig full cage is a very handy accessory with lots of threaded holes for attaching whatever you might want to add. It also has a QD socket on the bottom which I found quite by accident. It works very well with a bungy-style single attach point sling. It's Arca-Swiss capable which is very handy. To be honest I bought the 'cage' for extra protection in the event of a fall, not necessarily for making a small video rig. The design is well thoughtout. They even made a swinging gate that allows better access to the battery compartment. And, they include a 'cable strain relief' attachment for HDMI, MIC, and Audio cables. Overall fit and finish is excellent. My only real 'con' is its made in PRC.

I love my Sony A6700 camera because it is compact. I used to shoot full frame but went to apsc for its size. I wanted the flexibility of a cage but didn't like the idea of the added bulk. Let me say this, it doesn't add much to the camera at all and I actually think it feels better in the hand with it than without. The camera is still easy to get in and out of my camera bags. Including the smaller bags. I love the grip now so much better and also love the connection points for my camera strap. The nice added bonus is that you can add a small Arca Swiss plate to the side to turn this also into an L-bracket. If you thinking about it, just get it. I couldn't recommend it more.

This is a great cage for the a6700. I absolutely love having a built-in mount for my tripod as well as having a place to add an additional arca mount so I can mount my camera in portrait orientation on my tripod. The battery and SD card compartments are fully accessible and the neck strap mounts are very sturdy and give complete confidence. Lastly, the additional grip it provides is very welcome, even with my smaller hands, and the cage looks really good on the camera. I have not dropped my camera, so I do not know how much protection it actually provides, but realistically the extra grip has helped keep it securely in my hands and given me extra places to grab onto. My only complaint is the top bar gets in the way of properly mounting my speedlight. The contacts on the front of the flash do not reach the contacts on the camera because the bar gets in the way of the front of the flash body. I modified mine as shown in the pic and now it works fine. If you don't ever use on-camera flash or are willing to do some Dremel work, this cage works great all around.

I bought this to go along with my first camera being the Sony a6700. Without any prior knowledge it was very easy to assemble onto the camera body. I keep this on my camera at all times for added protection and extra grip space for my pinky finger. I love that this product doesn’t feel cheap like other camera accessories I have bought. I also love the many ways to attach other equipment to the cage which makes it super functional. Great purchase.

Je n’ai jamais possédé de cage avant celle-ci. Elle possède vraiment des pas de vis tout le long et tous les côtés de la cage, ce qui en fait un accessoire indispensable si vous voulez faire un rig vidéo. En plus de ça, elle protège super bien l’appareil. La cage possède aussi un rail NATO pour y mettre un accessoire de votre choix. Installation facile et livrée avec les clés pour l’installer. Je recommande vraiment cette cage, elle est parfaite pour votre a6700 !

Achei um pouco pesado, mas tem várias opções para customizar o setup da câmera com recursos diversos. Acabei usando pouco pois estou priorizando pouco peso nas minhas saídas de registros de videos e fotos. Mas, pra quem pretende "equipar- se com outros acessórios, ele é o primeiro com certeza.

Edito para decir, que he comprado una segunda unidad para la cámara de mi cuñado, que se com`pró este verano pasado el modelo de Sony A6700 y al ver la mía y su calidad y buen acabado, no se pudo resistir. Ahora si, os dejo con la reseña original. Que la disfrutes 😃. Se nos entrega en una caja junto a su manual del usuario (No incluye Español, ni hace falta). Tras sacarla y tenerla en la mano, se nota que es de calidad, con un diseño muy bueno y unas medias precisas para ser usadas en la Sony A6700. Esta fabicada en Aluminio, no pesa nada y tiene un acabado en negro precioso que en conjunto con la cámara hacen que esta parezca muy superior. Una vez que la coloco en la cámara se nota que sus medidas están perfectamente tomadas , así como su diseño, y hace que la cámara quede equilibrada cuando la sujetas desde arriba, su centro de gravedad cuando la pones un objetivo, bien sea un 50mm como un zoom de medio recorrido (28-70mm.) está muy bien ajustado, haciendo el conjunto muy cómodo de usar. Dispone de roscas por todo su cuerpo para que podamos colocar desde empuñaduras laterales hasta monitores o todo lo que necesitemos para nuestro trabajo, las posibilidades que nos da son muchísimas. Una versatilidad enorme de combinaciones hechas por uno mismo para cada trabajo o proyecto que afrontes. Puedes usar complementes de la misma marca o de otras, como es mi caso, ya que la separación entre roscas diría yo que es un estándar y de ahí que pueda usar hasta de dos marcas distintas de accesorios en esta jaula sin problemas de ajuste. Lleva un llave para poder ponerla/quitarla fácilmente, solo usa el tornillo en la parte de abajo uno de 1/4 pulgada y esta llave se encuentra abajo sujeta magnéticamente. Ojo, yo no me fiaría mucho de este sistema, preferiblemente mejor en la bolsa de cámara. Para poder cambiar la bateria de la cámara, dispone de una parte movil que se mueve con un dedo y así deja abrirse la tapa de la bateria para poder sustituirla. Para que el cable HDMI no se nos suelte dispone de una pieza dedicada que lo amordaza a la jaula e impide que este se suelte. Cuando coges la cámara con la mano, esta gana en grip, se siente mucho mejor, mas cómoda y sujeta, aun más si eres de manos grandes. Una jaula que no solo te vale para poner complementos en el equipo de filmación, también te vale como armadura contra posibles golpes que pueda recibir tu cámara, ya que será la jaula la que se lleve el golpe en vez de la cámara.
