This replacement is better quality than the one that came with the ice cream maker. Stainless steel does take longer to chill, but does hold the cold for longer than the aluminum one that came with the machine. Great quality for the price.

I bought 2 of these for my Whynter ICM-200LS, and they work fine for the most part. I like that they seem more durable (stainless steel) than the bowl that the machine came with (aluminum?). But one minor issue I have is that one of the bowls seemed to leak a tiny amount onto the machine, leaving a residue (see picture). I tried unscrewing and tightly rescrewing the “motor axis” of the bowl—in which I found some liquid trapped under the plastic piece, which suggested that the ice cream base was leaking into it—but the problem persisted. It’s not a huge problem, and it doesn’t happen all the time (seems to me like the other bowl doesn’t have the problem), but it is a nuisance to clean the sticky goo that builds up once in a while. I contacted the company through customer support on their website, but they didn’t help me. I was told that they only have one authorized retailer for parts (Ambient Stores), there is no warranty for parts purchased separately, and I should contact Amazon for support. So I did contact Amazon, and thankfully they sent me a replacement. All in all, it’s a good product, perhaps with some poor quality control regarding a minor issue, and the Whynter customer support wasn’t very helpful.

Gets really cold to make ice cream. Easy to clean.
