Buy Wife Between Us by Hendricks, Greer from desertcart's Fiction Books Store. Everyday low prices on a huge range of new releases and classic fiction. Review: Excellent read - I loved this book, could not put it down! It is full of twists, and just when you think you have figured it out along comes another twist, would recommend 😉 Review: Gripping story that keeps you hooked - I wasn't sure what to expect from this book initially, however your curiosity grows as the story unfolds. There are many twists and turns which keep you guessing. I enjoyed the two sides of the story and how they worked together, however I was hoping for more about Richard and his past, I felt the ending was slightly disappointing in that it didn't really go where I thought it would. Questions were answered but a bit clinically and without a lot of explanation. Overall though I loved the style of the writing and the overall story was gripping and really did keep me hooked until the end.

It was ok but not amazing
This book was so hyped (not always a good thing) and only 99p on Kindle (always a good thing) and, as I was in the mood for a twisty thriller, I started it straight away. The Wife Between Us basically introduces itself in the blurb as a book full of twists, which makes it difficult to review without spoilers but I’ll try. The book begins by alternating between the perspectives of Richard's ex-wife, Vanessa, who has been left penniless and with a drinking problem ever since their mysterious break-up and his new and young fiancée, Nellie, who is busy making wedding plans and trying to ignore the feeling that someone is following her. Vanessa is determined to stop Richard marrying again and we follow along as she tried to prevent his wedding. The blurb is right, there are a number of plot twists and surprises and, although I didn’t guess any of them beforehand, the sheer number of them numbed me towards them and I found them having little or no impact on me, especially the last twist. There were a few different stories and I felt that the whole subplot with Maggie and Jason was boring and took up too much page time. Although there are a number of twists, the story is easy to follow. The language and pace are good and it’s not a challenging read. I was sceptical when I realised that it had two authors but the flow is smooth and I don’t think you would know it as written by two people. The storyline was ok, the writing was ok, the twists (although interesting) were far too many and overall I feel that this book was average. Saying that, I have recommended it to a few people that I think will love it but it just wasn’t really for me.

Good twists and turns
This was an interesting book. Just when you think it’s heading one way it has a little twist, then you think you’re heading forward and it twists again. Was nice to read something a bit different that didn’t follow the same premise. Would recommend to others for an interesting and different read.

Fabulous!
I had lost my reading mojo towards the end of last year, I hadn’t been picking my kindle up as often, and when I did I struggled to get in to the plot - I had lost count of the amount of books I was less than 10% in to and had given up on, until I stumbled across The Wife Between Us - it was by authors that I had not heard of before, was written in collaboration by 2 authors (which would usually have put me off) I was hooked from the very first chapter and I devoured it in less than 24 hours! The plot was so clever! Usually clever stories mean confusing plots - not in this case. Any reviews that claim books have “amazing plot twists” I usually see coming and am underwhelmed - not in this case. The book is in three parts, and each part is as pacy as the last. I almost got whiplash between the end of part one and the beginning of part 2 with a plot twist I had no idea was coming. I don’t want to go in to the plot because any independent reviews could reveal too much and ruin it - I am a firm believer that as a reader you are better going in to this book knowing as little about the book as possible. What I will tell you is that this is an absolute page turner with an intricate and suspenseful plot that has given me my reading mojo back! Yay!! I’ve already downloaded my next book….and yes - It is another collaboration book by Greer Hendricks and Sarah Pekkanan.

Chick lit which entertains
This is a book written in 3 parts and didn't really get going until Part 2. I found Part 1 incredibly boring and couldn't care less about the silly spoilt main characters. I very nearly gave up reading it. But I was glad I didn't as there is a major twist towards the middle of the book which I didn't see coming at all. It made me race through Parts 2 and 3. The twist at the end was good, I didn't guess what was coming at all. This book is not Shakespeare but if you can perceive through Part 1 you'll find this book is an entertaining bit of chick lit to read on a subbed.
