Started using these like 5+ years ago once I could afford them over standard Nike socks for tennis due to the extra ankle and heel padding. After like 3-4 years, the original few pairs hardly look any different than the new pairs I've gotten. Not a single pair has failed so I've been trying to phase out most of my socks for these. Perfect as dress socks, work socks, sport socks. Comfort, looks (just plain black with a good knit), and durability. These are nicer than any $20+ a pair smart wool or other sock you've tried.

I purchased these socks as much review and research for the perfect, most comfy pickleball socks for my husband. They are his new fav on-court essential—these Thorlo socks bring cushion where it counts, keeping feet comfy and cool all match long. They are thick and hard to believe they are cool but they are and he plays in 90 degree plus, NC weather. They stretch but are not too stretchy but do give him the support he needs. Now that he approves, I'll purchase more for his 50 year old hurting tootsies:) And p.s. I purchased my husband a size L because according to the size guide, his size 10 shoe size would fit best in a L. And p.s.s., I am a size 9 womens and they are a little big on me.

Great comfy thick socks

I normally wear a 9 or 9 1/2 shoe. In athletic shoes I wear a 10. My foot measures right at 10 inches at longest point. With that said this MEDIUM UNISEX sock indicates it will fit a women's size 6.5 - 10.0 (or men's 5.5 -8.5). It is a tight fit for me and very uncomfortable in my comfortable Altra shoes. I definitely need a size large. I would recommend if you are near either end of their size chart to go up or down accordingly. Otherwise I have tried various options of their socks, mini-crew, crew, ankle. By far my favorite is the crew because I can fold down lower on my ankle. I haven't worn them except during the winter months so I don't know if they are overly warm for summer wear. I love though the amount of cushioning at the heel and ball of the foot as well as the top of the toes. I need that extra cushioning due to a previous broke toe that seems to continually give me issues. Definitely worth the higher price. I would have returned these but the seller keeps $3.40 for shipping fees to mail out the replacement pair - I can sell them outright to recoup my costs... just an FYI.

Despite what the picture shows (gray) and the invoice says ("women's") the 3 pack are unisex with gold/yellow toes. These are nice cushiony socks that last for over a year with weekly washing (NOT inside-out). The only drawback for me (size 13 men's shoe) is that the large size is a little bit tight (I wear them anyhow).

Best socks for playing tennis. They're expensive, but they work. I wear them every day.

My husband requests these at Christmas and birthdays—he has never requested specific socks before. Have a tennis player or other athlete in your life? I recommend these socks.
