How wide is the center clamp area?

It's about 5 1/2 " before it starts to curve up .

Will they fit a 2006 yamaha virago xv250

If you have 7/8 bars they should fit but the knarling well be off a little as they were for my honda rebel

Will these work good with my 08 softail deluxe ?

Hell no!...these are 7/8" diameter handle bars...a stock 08 soft tail deluxe uses an 1 1/4" dimeter handle bar. So if you used these, you would need to change out all controls, grips and even the risers. I do not recommend at all....

No rewiring for handlebar components!

This handlebar installed with existing bike hardware on my 2009 KLR 650 , and no need to lengthen the wires on the components. Perfect pairing with the lowering pegs I purchased and installed, enabling me to stand in a natural position while riding!
