Excellent
So far we have no issues with this device. Used it on a mini itx system where we had used up all of the motherboard ports. I love that all of the ports are on the REAR of the device instead of the front, this is one of the only ones I found that has this feature. Plug and play and easy to use. Nice size as well, it's sitting on top of our case and is not noticeable at all. Would recommend

Mountable, sturdy, good data throughput, and provides plenty of power
I wanted solid, powered USB hubs that could easily be mounted to walls and desks. This fits the bill, I've had no issues with data rates, the metal housing is sturdy, and it comes with metal mounting ears that can be configured in a few different positions. Overall exactly what I wanted and worth the extra price over cheaper options, I now have three of these for different areas that need a USB hub.

Well made and reliable.
Well made. Input is 12V and seems to be internally regulated, so mine have been tolerant of powering from my common 13.8v DC bus. Individual TT's per port, so it works really well with a mix of older USB devices and newer devices.

Reliable powered USB Hub
(review of the 7-port powered USB 3.0 Hub) If you are using multiple USB hard drives on adjacent USB ports on your computer, and notice one drive going momentarily (or entirely) off-line when the other is plugged-in, you are experiencing the same issue I was before buying this USB hub. I have also experienced this same problem on other inexpensive powered USB hubs. This USB hub does not experience this problem. I have plugged-in 5 USB hard drives plus a universal chip programmer, and this USB hub happily handles all the devices without any issues. I couldn't find a 7th high-current device to try to load it further. This was all tested on Gentoo Linux, but since this is a hardware-specific concern, it should work great on Windows, MacOS, other Linux distros, FreeBSD, or any other OS. IMPORTANT NOTES: This is NOT for charging devices. It is for handling multiple full-power USB devices for data purposes. You could probably charge something with it, but it's going to be a slow charge. This is also a USB 3.0 (5 GB/sec) speed device, and not USB 3.1 (10 GB/sec). It handles 5 GB/sec devices with no problem, but do not expect USB 3.1 speeds (your faster device will likely work, but just be limited to the max speed of the hub). The only other caveats with this is that all the jacks are on the front of the hub (as another reviewer noted). This means that the jack for the external power brick (yes, a brick) plugs in on the same side of the USB hub, making it a little awkward for cable management. Likewise, the downstream USB cable to the computer is on the same side, and contributes to the arguably awkward access to the USB jacks. While this is a little bit awkward, I'd gladly accept this when considering all the positives. Also note that the hub comes with little mounting brackets, which allows it to be securely mounted to a desk with screws. It would be nice if it came with rubber feet to keep it from scratching a desk, but these are easily obtained. In short: a great little powered USB hub, does what it should do, sturdily-built (in a metal box), for a reasonable price. Can't go wrong with this one.

Sturdy, functioning USB hub
I have a computer on a stationary platform connected to various peripherals on my sit-to-stand desk. My long-standing requirement is to minimize the number of cables stretching between the platform and my desk, and to ensure that anything that's on my desk stays there during height adjustment. This USB hub replaces a clumsy solution that involved a hub sitting on top of my desk which was constantly falling off, tilting over, and generally being ugly with cable clutter. My basic requirements were USB 3.0, screw-mount, and at least 6 ports. Surprisingly few products matched this (although perhaps some products were screw-mountable, but didn't prominently advertise the fact). The new USB hub is screw-mounted to the bottom of my desk, with USB connectors pointed toward the back so that cables can come in from the desk rear. This was straightforward, and it's very sturdy. The hub has been functional and hasn't given me any problems. I've basically forgotten it exists since setting it up, which is a good thing. The one perhaps slightly surprising thing is that it has a power brick, not a wall wart. As neither cable coming out of the brick is that long, it means the brick ends up hanging off the ground (since it's plugged into my UPS, also on the stationary platform). But the brick isn't heavy, so this hasn't been a problem.

Well made
I was impressed with this the minute I opened the box. Built very solid. The large transformer is indicative of the power available for charging items - it charges faster than my old hub. It works perfectly. I have had other USB splitters that did not work right and did not last long. This one is definitely built to last !!

Solid USB hub but not a charging station
It has been working well mounted under the desk for the 10 days I've had it setup. Although this provides adequate power, it is not ideal for charging devices as total power is 36W and 5V/900mA per port, which is fine for my needs. If you are looking for more power for your USB hub to work also as a charging station then the Plugable 7-in-1 USB Powered Hub 60W may work better for you. This hub is a well built sturdy unit, with adequate ports for multiple external drives and general devices, compact and easy to mount, and good value for money.

I have TWO of these. I can use 75% of them
I purchased one of these while building out my Simulator Pit. I use it on my USB C Port for my control devices. I love it, it works great, and I have no problems with it whatsoever! With my Computer set up at the office where I work, I have a lot of peripherals. Some of which I need to be powered. The first one works so well for my needs, that I thought I would get another one. when it arrived, and opened the box and connected it to my work Docking Station over a USB-C Cable the same as the one I use for my Sim-Pit at home. It worked fine.... for about two weeks. Then I noticed that ports 5 - 8 are lit up as if in use, but there is nothing plugged into them. When I do plug something into one of those ports, My computer will not see the device. When I use ports 1 - 4, the devices work fine. I have tried to use USB-A cables. I have power cycled the device, and removed and reinstalled it, all to no avail. I even opened the casing on it to see if there were any damaged circuits that I could see... NADA. TLDR Version... It is a crap-shoot as to what you are going to get.
