You can: - Wash rice and easily drain water - Wash vegetables (enough for 1 person). Especially for vegetables like lettuce. - Marinate. I marinated shrimps with this. - And more Also, it's very easy to clean. Highly recommended.

I got this for work, because we have to wash ingredient bins by hand, and picking stray food bits out of the drain is a huge pain in the butt. This performs that function perfectly, as I can spray the bins and dump them, and the water passes right through, leaving the bits to be knocked out into the trash can. It’s just the right size to be suspended on the sides of the sink. One problem is that bits can get trapped between the metal rim and the mesh, so make sure you check in order to keep things sanitary. Cleaning is easy enough; just blast it out with a sprayer and immerse in sanitary solution. An occasional trip through a home or industrial dishwasher is a good idea too. Use cases: Rinsing ingredients bins before washing, draining liquid from ingredients.

Far exceeds the wire mesh strainer method I had used for years. I am better able to see that the rice is rinsed well. Straining is a breeze. I'm so glad I purchased. I also have used on canned beans to rinse a lot of the sodium off the beans, making them healthier for me. Quick and easy to maneuver and same for cleaning. Great product!

This is a great strainer, very well built . I use it for my quinoa, rice and beans. It has a large capacity too. Has a hole in the lip so it can be hung, great space saving if needed. I have had two plastic ones, one was not dishwasher safe and the other the holes are too large for quinoa. Great value for the money.

Should have had this years ago. Very well made and washed the rice perfectly. Looks great easy to store.

I bought this after seeing a similar one used on social media and I am glad I did. I used to use a saucepan which worked well but this bowl uses less water and seems to clean quicker as it runs the rice over a rough area which appears to remove the rice dust. Easy to drain so no sieve needed and it dries the rice on its edge. In my opinion a great little addition to the kitchen.
