Take the plunge!
This is a reasonably priced pedal that exceeded my expectations. Don't let the gorgeous artwork distract you--it's not a gimmick pedal, and has very subtle and usable reverb out of the box with minimal effort. It also gets into ambient, cavernous reverb just as well--the knobs/pots are great and make for smooth transition. My only complaint is that the top of the knob surface makes the marker lines difficult to read in certain lighting. Otherwise the pedal is perfect...impressive packaging too. Given the overall quality and tone I would definitely buy another Walrus pedal.

Buy one.
I didn't know what to expect, or I expected something mind-blowing.. It's not mind-blowing, I think it's a sleeper, it sounds like a really good pedal that I'm going to develop a relationship with and learn its potential and capabilities. Only having sat down with it once it's already the best reverb pedal I've played. Also it was affordable, seems fairly easy to understand and operate. Thanks to the seller, Sweetwater, for the pedal and getting it here quickly and in one piece. ,dan'

Pairs well with synths
I use this primarily with my Moog Grandmother. I bought it for the sonar algorithm but have I have been using the low fi algorithm the most. It sounds really nice with the moog. I planned on mostly using it for ambient sound scapes but it really shines when used more subtle. Note: I purchased this on sale for $150, which made it a no brainer. At the normal $200 asking price I would suggest splurging the extra $100 for the strymon blue sky.

Ambient reverb
Really unique reverb on the side of weird. I personally love to sonar setting with lower and upper octave but its not your typical shimmer. I do wish the octaves could be blended with the verb. The lo-fi if fun also. The sustain function is lovely for ambience.

Versatile, beautifully designed pedal
I love this pedal. I do everything from shoegaze to psych to surf to post rock with this. I played a lot of reverb pedals before settling on this one. It makes my tone so emotive and lush. It's versatile enough to just add a little bit of wash to your sound too. I found the Neunaber Immerse a bit too tinny and metallic when paired with my tele. This helps balance that sharpness out. In the end, I wanted a versatile reverb pedal that could provide a thicker clean tone, some washed out psych and some cavernous shoegaze echoes and this pedal does all 3 for me with minimal knob tweaking. I love the modulation on it. I'll probably grab a spring reverb to accompany this at some point but that's another endeavor for another day.

The AD converter clips the signal unacceptably.
This reverb has a nice sounds (I particularly liked the lo-fi) but one fatal flaw: the AD converters clip the signal badly as soon as it is even moderately loud. So, this pedal cannot operate at line level (e.g., in an amp effect loop, or with keyboards) and even putting it after a boost but in front of the amp results in unwanted distorsion. This distorsion is ugly and not acceptable - sounds like a digital interface clipping. I am totally unimpressed by this design oversight, even more so because the pedal is not cheap. I am in the process of returning the one I bought.
