Quality build, Quality Switches, Quality Lighting, Sub-Par Software That Works Well Enough
I have been looking for a way to have clicky switches on a board that would allow me to hot swap any time I felt like I needed a change. After doing extensive research, I settled with this Strix Scope II 96 because it was the only board I could find from Asus with the RX Storm switches. Most variants, even on the new Strix Scope II X, only have the RX Snow switches, which are linear. I couldn't find another keeb with the RX Storm switches than this one. I have to say, though, I am extremely satisfied with the build quality and feel of each click. Each press of the key as I typed felt like I finally had more control over what key I was pressing with the satisfaction of a tactile click. I was pleased to be reminded that it is harder to accidently hit keys on a clicky switch. Linear switches often lead me to accidental keypresses, which bugged me. While I have not attempted one of my longer gaming sessions with this keyboard just yet, I have typed quite a bit, and the experience is very nice indeed. The weight of each key is heavy enough that I have to want to press the key, but not so heavy that I have to try too hard to type. I think my only complaint is Armoury Crate, Asus' software to customize the keyboard and it's lighting (which by the way, the lighting looks beautiful and bright. I'm a fan). AC is a little janky, and I had some weird issues trying to update the wireless capabilities and keyboard it self. After a while, though, I was able to finally update everything in the software and it seems that everything works fine now. AC uses Window's adaptive lighting features in Windows 11 to control the lighting effects on the keyboard. It was a little troublesome at first, but once I got it to work, I'm very satisfied with how easy it is to change up my keyboard's lighting and effects. While Armoury Crate is a little wonky, once I set up everything to my liking, the typing experience was blissful. 5/5

Good keyboard by the Republic!
This keyboard is amazing! I will say before you buy make sure you KNOW if you want linear or clicky keys. I accidentally have gotten the clicky version, but I am still keeping it because I do enjoy the clicky sound. I did get the upgraded version of this as well, becuase while this is a full size keyboard I do prefer the 100% sized ones. I will still continue to use this alongside that one as both are amazing keyboards.

Read up differences between models. Storm Clicky is louder, but keys have better travel and register
I ordered the Snow Linear, as I didn't want the keys to be to loud, but the force of just resting your fingers on the keys would trigger them. I returned it even though it sounded great. I then ordered the Storm Clicky, hoping the pressure to register the click was better, and that it wouldn't be much louder. Luckily it feels great, and sounds almost as good as the Snow Linear. The amount of force or weight needed to register the keystroke is perfect. Pros: Great typing feel and sound, clickey keys, but not obnoxiously loud. Just the right amount of force/weight to trigger the key to register. Adjustable wheel for different settings on the top right of the keyboard. Cons: Expensive! Software isn't great, the RGB settings and control is okay, nothing special. Some of the LEDs are noticeable from under the keys if you type with a longer arm's length.

Great price
Works great looks great with the rest of my setup; my fiancée loves the clicky sound when typing. Love the keyboard cushion, doesn't take up a lot of space.

I agree. Best Mechanical Keyboard I've used - thus far.
Better than expected quality, has the mechanical clicky feel I've sought since IBM Selectron mechanical keyboards, and the price (on sale) was ridiculously impossible to ignore. Apparently, i'm in a minority of "Storm Clicky" key appreciation, but with some patience - one finally became available for MUCH LESS than standard price. Fortunately, the Armory Crate app (required for RGB and device configuration management) has noticeably improved since the last time I dumped it. So far - in par if not a bit better than my current favorite mechnical/clicky keyboard Logitech G915. Note: G915 is a "low profile" keyboard which is different format than the Scope II 96, but the FEEL of the keycaps is the bottom line for me. Feels better with the Strix II 96.

Terrible firmware
Ctrl randomly stops working. To easy to accidently lock the keyboard in some random hotkey mode I dont need that does anything except allow you to type. I keep having to restart my pc just to reset the keyboard.

Two thumbs up
Great keyboard does what it is designed for, I haven't used all features it offers as of yet, as I only use those that circumstance calls for.
