SUITEDNOMAD Adventure Travel Packing Cubes

While I don't think these are completely waterproof (i.e., submersible), I do think they will fit the need of most people trying to organize their clothes and keep them free of dust and water. IP65 means the degree of protection against accidental contact and ingress of dust along with water jets from any direction. I'm a river paddler so my packing cubes go into "dry" bags as another layer to keep things dry. And of course help me keep things organized. These are definitely water resistant, appear to be well built (time will tell, and eventually I'll report back), and the various sizes are good for separating and organizing my socks, undergarments, shirts, pants, etc. They appear to be rugged enough and should last me a number of years of use which includes dropping them to the ground at camp. I tend to pack based on wet, camp, lounging, etc. I wouldn't use these for backpacking as they are "heavy" and much better solutions for that use, but you could. I took them on a week-long river expedition recently and they did what I needed them to - keeping my camp clothes dry and dust free. My current impression is a good product and a solid investment. I bought 2 sets.

Holay molay those packing cubes rock They are the perfect size for travel, not to small or big, I like how no one can see in them, very durable and elegant looking, the zipper is smooth. The handles on both sides is very handy to pull out of your bags with them. these are well constructed and simple, just put your belongings into them zip them up, great for gear, clothing and travel, Backpacks. I put these in my pack when I went fishing kept my extra clothes and gear dry and when it’s May out the worst month cause it MAY snow, rain, or be beautiful anyways they are great for the boat! This is a second set. I need to amend my first review. I still love love love them, but I said they did not have much give. I was wrong. As I began experimenting with. packing I discovered just how much you can keep adding. Great give and so sturdy.

A frequent traveler to wet and humid climates these packing cubes are perfect. Waterproof, durable, solid zippers and made well. They've stayed the test of time, rain and many international miles. Can pack a lot of clothing and items in the various sizes.

I was looking for an alternative to putting all of my canoe camping clothing in one dry bag/stuff sack so that the items are more accessibleand organized. I came across these, which turned out to be perfect for the job. They are varied in size and heavy duty. The material is tough and the zippers are sturdy. I used the largest for my larger clothing items such as folded pants and shirts. The smaller ones are used for underwear, baselayers, socks, gloves and hats. I couldn't be more pleased - now my clothing items are organized and can be arranged in my pack efficiently.

I like it. If you’re looking to pack stuff down. It isn’t for you. If you are looking for a stand alone water proof bag. It’s an amazing product for the price.

I'm an outdoorsman, adventurer, and world traveler. I've been using suited nomad's ultralight compression packing cubes in my bag for a couple years now. They've been on every continent with me. Those aren't waterproof, but fulfill an important role in my packing strategy. Now I've added these water and dust proof cubes to my equipment. They're made of durable ripstop nylon and have sealed zippers to keep out the dust and water. I've got plenty of dry bags, but in many situations those are overkill and these suited nomad bags fill the need better. For land trips, I'm going to be using these instead of drybags. They're more conevient than drybags, and hold more contents in a more space-efficient way. Which is perfect for packing outings in rain and stream crossings. They might be a good choice for the beach, too. I'll find out when the weather warms up. Anywhere I don't need to use the ultralight compression bags, I'm going to be replacing my old packing cubes with these. They're more durable and have the advantage of being waterproof. The handles on the edges of the bags are stout and sewed on really well. So that gives options for externally mounting, or just conveniently carrying in your hand.

The build quality is better than expected and the zippers are smooth making stuffing these packs a breeze. Really happy with the quality and waterproof nature of the zippers and the lightweight/strong materials which make them useful for carry on organization and keeping a light footprint. Highly recommend!

Overall these packing cubes are super nice and what I don't like about them is most likely not a dealbreaker & might even be a bad batch so won't necessarily have the same problems. *my cubes look like they might've been used by someone else before... Water resistance (IP65) I'm not sure if the claimed IP65 rating was independently tested, but I tested the "x5" part of the IP65 rating meaning it's water resistance. The number 5 means "the enclosure can only provide protection against low pressure (6.3mm) water jets [...] Protected from low-pressure water jets from any direction." I tested the cube by filling it with a towel, closed it, put it under the hand shower and turned it on with water jet pressure and thickness of the jets most likely exceeding both IPX5 standards for rating & did that from all angles for about 15-20 seconds. The clothes got slightly damp, but mainly where seams are (because they are not taped + all the water pressure) and even less where the zippers are. The main fabric itself is waterproof and no water gets through it. I think it’s fair to say that the cubes comply with IP65 since the water jets for testing would be much weaker and thinner. Even mine almost passed it. Didn’t test the dust resistance of it, but due to its construction and materials I would not worry about any dust, let alone sand getting in if you take it to the beach e.g. WHAT I LIKE 1. Love the sleek design and the materials used. 2. There's not only one, but 2 beefy handles on each cube, making it easy to grab and lift it out of a full suitcase or backpack without even thinking about it. 3. It comes with a nice neon yellow silicone name tag which you can put one one cube if you take it somewhere alone or one your backpack/luggage. WHAT I DON'T LIKE 1. MANY loose threads all over every one of the 3 bags - from the logo patch, to the carry handles, on the inside where the seams are and some stitching shortcomings, which suggests not-so-great/clean/careful manufacturing. The threads on the outside bother more from a visual perspective. The inside ones bother visually too, but additionally, they get trapped on the zipper when opening, but especially when closing the cubes. Obviously you can just cut them out with a scissor but there shouldn't be the need to do it in the first place. Every loose thread is a possible defective product in the future, and always when you use sharp tools there is a chance of damaging the product. (mostphotos are about loose threads (: ) 2. I don't understand why but (as you can see on one picture) the zippers on the bigger cube don't close in the same direction/the whole lid opens in a different direction as the 2 smaller ones (using the logo as reference) which is SUPER annoying... speaking of that, another super annoying thing: 3. I think everyone would agree that the "lid" of the cube when it's open, is where the logo tag is. Meaning that the "lid should be the "shallow" part of the cube. Yet, (as you can see in the pictures) the "deeper" part is where the logo is. That means you have to turn the bag upside down to open it with the deeper part on the surface, so you can pack the cube or just to open it without everything falling out. It just doesn't make any sense at all... 4. The loop that the name tag comes with is a bit faulty. If you want to open it so you can put/remove it from a bag, a small piece that is not well attached to the loop can fall out if you put slight pressure on it when pulling/opening (see picture). You can put it pack on but it'll eventually fall out again if you haven't lost it yet since it's super small. Maybe try gluing it with super glue... CONCLUSION Even though ~20 Euros is not a lot for a set of 3 packing cubes with good materials and even water resistance, it's still too much considering all the flaws I mentioned - which are all related to design and manufacturing (loose threads). Numbers 2 & 3 piss me off so so much since all the promo pictures show it all correct, so I can't help to think I got a bad batch with these... I will send them back and order a new set, but as they are now I would not recommend them... If it was just the loose threads, ok. But all these upside-down, logo patches on wrong side, zippers in wrong direction, design type mistakes are just too much.... *since the name tag is a nice extra that I didn't even expect I won't consider it, nor for bad nor for good

These packing cubes are great so far used them on a fishing trip and kept my stuff dry and organized !

Bought these for a trip where we would be diving. Great for packing and then great for keeping stuff separate and dry on a dive boat would 100% recommend.

Prácticos solo que a diferencia de otros, no tiene manera de comprimir. Pero buena opción para viajes cortos o a lugares donde necesitas mantener seco el contenido

Super happy with these bags so far. The materials are very nice and the zippers worked great. The volumes are also convenient for my trip. They are a little heavier than other cubes but that is what I expected.
