Great Customer support if needed. Product is well packaged and works great.
1. Works seemlessly with Apple products. 2. Some issues with android wireless. Good app available from seller and they have great customer service if you should need it. Just reach out to them via Amazon. The radio works great and looks great. Easy install everything is labeled pretty much where it needs to connect. Difficulty level 2 of 10

Good Upgrade
2017 Ram 1500 Express Overall: Easy to install, everything is plug and play. The sound is decent, not amazing. Wireless Android Auto connects automatically and works well. This unit has a lot of features and is able to communicate with the computer in the truck. I was able to connect an RCA backup camera that works well and comes on automatically when I'm in reverse. I think this unit is a good value if you are willing to do a bit of work to set it up properly after installation. Sound: When I first installed this stereo, it sounded like the speakers were under water. The low frequencies are way too loud and it sounded awful out of the box. After a few days of messing with it, I was able to make it sound pretty good. I included photos of my equalizer settings that you can use as a starting point if you want. I have stock, basic speakers in my truck. Customer service: Customer service was helpful and tried really hard to solve my problem. The power cable connector that came with my unit was loose. This caused the unit to restart or shut off periodically while driving. They were able to send me a new power cable, although it took a long time to arrive coming from overseas. One thing that does bother me a bit is the standby mode. There is an option in settings called "cold restart" that allows you to select how long the unit will stay in standby mode. If the unit is not in standby mode, it takes a little extra time to boot up after you start the truck. The issue is that standby mode seems to take a lot of power. I didn't drive my truck for three days while it was set to always stand by and when I tried to drive it, my battery was dead. Now I have it set to standby for 6 hours.

Dies after a year and a half..
Have had this installed in my 2014 Ram 1500 since Early August 2024 and it worked perfectly flawless without issue in that time, instal is very easy! Plug and play anyone with a tool set can install it. Now onto the review about 2 weeks ago I began experiencing the screen cutting in and out, at first just momentary flashes. Then back to working, began 6 days ago it would cut out and the screen would be completely gone out but Bluetooth music would still play and once the engine had time to cool off and cut the power for a bit it would turn back on. But now that’s no longer working and I’ve been out 3 days without a radio in my truck. I reached out to the manufacturer on Monday it’s been over 48 hours and no response. Overall ok, but understand it only last about a year and a half and looking at other reviews that seems to be the experience others are having only last about 18 months.

So Far Very Happy
I have a 2016 tradesman with the basic radio. This was a direct plug and play to the factory harness. Very happy with its performance so far! *Found out the side buttons do not light up at night. Found the setting to turn them on, but after cycling the key the setting does not save!?* The fix for this issue- Go into car settings then turn off illumination detect. Problem solved.

Shady support, okayish product
I’ve had the radio for just under a year. It’s been buggy at times where it’ll randomly lose Bluetooth connection, nothing a quick reset doesn’t fix. However, just yesterday the screen has gone out and would come back randomly, then go back out. Unfortunately, I haven’t received an email back from Awesafe yet regarding warranty support and there is no response from the chat and also no customer service line. Unless I get an email response back I must rate this product very low. Mainly for product support. I’ll update if I get a response back.

Awesafe Customer service is slow to help
I have had this radio in my 2014 Ram 1500 for 6 months and it is now dead. Last week the screen started to flicker and then died. I am out of the 30-day return window for Amazon. I reached out to Awesafe through the email for Amazon orders from their website and have yet to get a reply, it has been three days and nothing. The website does not have a phone number to contact them, the chat message function on their website tells you that they will get back to you soon and it has been 2 hours and no reply. I purchased the Asurion warranty protection when I purchased the radio and cannot use it because the 1 year manufacture warranty has to expire first. I even filled out their Contact us form on their website and after I click submit I get an Error 404 page not found. So now I have a dead radio that I am unable to get a warranty replacement and no help for. * UPDATE#1 They finally got back to me and are dragging their feet. I’ve explained in detail the issue and replaced the radio with my factory radio to show them with pictures that my wiring harness works. Now they want me to record a video explaining everything I already explained in the emails. This is definitely not a good purchase experience. *UPDATE#2 After 1 1/2 weeks of them asking one question a day and replying to them each day, they finally believe me that the radio is defective. They are now sending me a new radio and I have sent them back the defective one. I am happy that my radio was replaced, but this is the 3rd radio that I am on from Awesafe.

I installed the Awesafe stereo in my 2016 Ram 1500 a week ago and love it. I purchased it to eliminate arguments over directions when visiting another city and it has worked out fabulously! It was a breeze to install (1hr) but the instructions were not the greatest. If you have a charger/data port in your jump seat armrest (6pass Ram 1500), you will require electrical tape to hold the usb connections together. Otherwise, everything was plug n play. The screen quality is great on YouTube and Google maps. However, if you have an OEM backup cam, the picture can be slightly pixelated. Overall, A rating. Update March 2025: Overall, I am still very satisfied but there are some quirks and quarks with this head unit. CarPlay will randomly not work. The solution is to find the Bluetooth menu and restart the Bluetooth connection. Update July 2025: The product is becoming annoying and requires constant Bluetooth or unit restarts for it to function properly. Trying to figure out how to contact Awesafe is painful which gives me the impression that the warranty is useless.

Wasn’t worth the time or money for this unit unfortunately . Bluetooth only managed to connect once on the first day and had poor sound with stereo reciever. Unit totally died on the fifth day. Only thing I can say that was good was ease of installation, totally plug and play, fit and finish was good also. If you manage to get a good head unit it makes for a cheap alternative to replacing the factory unit . I returned this unit and bought a similar one to replace it and am quite pleased with it so far

I literally just installed the thing, but first Impression are very very good. Everything works as it should. 100% plug and play. If you have the built in mini micro to usb in your centre console you won't need to hook up the 4 pin USB wire included. I did hook up the 6 pin and drilled a hole in the little cubby to store the wire in. Wired and wireless android auto is flawless, you just have to follow the instructions. The built in Igo GPS app took a while to find satellites, but once it locked in, it worked great. Interface is great, and being able to connect to wifi at home for updates is a plus. If this thing lasts it's gonna be an absolute steal for $220.

It’s kind of glitchy and slow at times. EQ settings occasionally reset themselves. CarPlay won’t connect 1 in 20 times. Little stuff like that. Overall though for the price it’s great. Easy install, good fit and finish. Much better audio quality than stock. Would definitely recommend at the price.

The screen and bezel fit well and look really good, totally upgraded the look of my 2016 RAM 3500 SLT. When you can get it to pair, it works fairly well, unfortunately it sometimes takes ages to connect. On a recent drive, I was 1 hour into my journey before it connected to my phone. Sometimes its a minute or two.
