My son and I do a lot of DIY repairs, and he has learned how to replace screens on his own devices. We purchased this iPhone XR replacement screen in August 2025 after his previous screen needed replacement. The installation went smoothly, and the screen worked well for several months. The display was clear, responsive, and functioned as expected during everyday use. By February 2026, the screen was no longer working and needed to be replaced. At the time, I decided to try a different replacement screen from another seller. Unfortunately, that replacement only lasted about a month before it broke and needed to be replaced again by March 2026. After that experience, I found myself looking back at this screen differently. While it eventually failed, it lasted significantly longer than the other replacement we tried. In fact, when it came time to replace the screen again, I went back and reordered the version that had given us the longest period of reliable use. Based on our experience replacing multiple iPhone XR screens, this one ended up being one of the better-performing options we purchased. While no replacement screen seems indestructible, this one provided several months of dependable use and outlasted another competitor's screen by a considerable margin. Overall, I would consider this a solid option for a DIY repair, especially compared to some of the alternatives we have tried.

My iPhone got smashed really bad & instead of buying a new 1 I bought a new screen to replace myself. It was extremely easy to install it & it works perfectly. It was really hard to get the old screen off. And when I got it off I tore the earpiece so I had to buy a new one of that too. The only issue I have with the phone now is my Face ID doesn’t work but that’s ok. Highly recommended. Thanks!

This screen replacement kit was easy to use and came with the tools needed for installation. The instructions were straightforward, making the process much easier. I ordered extra tools in order to do a perfect job with this screen installation, went fine. I took my time. Turned phone back on and it looked perfect. However - one annoyance and one show stopper issue. The visible pixel display is at least 2mm smaller than the original. It’s noticeable, annoying, but nothing more. I would have accepted that were it not for the main problem, and reason for the 1 star review which is that after installation and testing for 4 days - the screen works intermittently perfect. It’s seem fine - but every 10-15 minutes consistently, it stops responding to all touch, swipe etc. and I had to set in screen lock and unlock it again to “wake it up”. Restarted device many times during the days testing, but the problem did not go away. Internal connections were completed properly. The fact that it is an ongoing but intermittent problem tells me that this screen is simple buggy and not sufficiently compatible for this device. I knew this wasn’t Apple OE, but I expected the screen to respond to touch 100% of the time. Problem was too much, so I had no choice but to reinstall the defective (missing pixels) OE screen. Very disappointed in this product.

I've replaced a few phone batteries, but this is my first cracked-screen replacement. This kit has good quality plus some thoughtful features; complete enough so that you don't need to order extra stuff. I liked that it also includes a gasket and a labelled/diagrammed screw keeper/holder for use during disassembly/reassembly. For my work session, I used utube videos, a head-mounted magnifier, and a silicone work pad to help make things organized and thorough.

I was desperate to get my phone working so I can transfer data to a new iPhone but my screen was destroyed. I’ve fixed iPhones in the past so I thought I’d give this a try. I needed a screen that was cheap and I could get it fast. So here I am. since most of these replacements are probably the same on Amazon with different clever adds to draw you in, I was impressed with my first impression the kit, it was well packaged and complete. the tools were decent and effective. The screw holder/template was a nice touch and helpful. I had one issue with the sensor that you have to remove from the screen it was challenging to remove so use a heating mat or hair dryer to soften the adhesive. And be careful. I already had non functioning Face ID but if you damage this sensor then it won’t work for you. The bottom left screw on this sensor I was not able to tighten all the way I’m not sure why but I got it as close as I could. After powering it up it was clear it is not to the same quality as an original screen but I was only after getting the phone functioning for a spare and transferring photos and whatnot so it’s just fine for my needs. Thr touch sensitivity is fine and accuracy is fine it does seem a little delayed when your typing. Again completely fine for my needs. I’m not giving it 5 stars as that the screw holes were not properly made and the screen is a little laggy . And I just installed it so I have no idea how it will hold up. If I remember I’ll make a follow up edit. I’d say a refurbished oem apple screen is the way to go but If your in a pinch this one works and make the phone useful. We should be able to fix our stuff so we should at least appreciate inexpensive repair parts!

An excellent product—I am extremely satisfied with the quality, delivery time, and service. The screen works perfectly, with excellent brightness, colors, and touch functionality.

Comes with everything you need besides a heat source. "Triangle" pieces could have been stronger as one broke very quickly and the tool used to pry the original screen off was quite bent at the end, but I very much appreciate the magnetic tips on the screwdrivers! After replacing the screen it does pop out a bit at the top but that's likely my fault lol, make sure to match up the clips. Very good product for its price!

Fair quality replacement screen, particularly good value for the price. The tools and instructions are a step above other kits i've received. The tools themselves are good quality and easy to use. The instructions are extremely easy to follow for new users. Stepped out in a handy booklet, on the back of the box, which packages the screen and tools nicely together, and on the screw organiser card - which also has sticky pads on top of the illustration of the phone parts to make sure everything is organised. Would have liked to have OLED options locally in Sydney Australia, but still very happy.

Good and clear

From day one, the phone had a serious ghost typing issue where the screen registers touches on its own. It even disabled itself due to repeated incorrect inputs. I removed the screen protector and tried basic fixes, but nothing worked. While setup was easy, the device is unreliable and not usable. Very disappointing experience.
