Is 1-1/4 inches the cotton sling width, or the width of the hardware? The stock hardware on my Mini-14 is about 1 to 1-1/8 inches wide, will this fit?

J-hooks will only fit with swivels that are 1-1/4 inch so spring J-hook has to be removed and just webbing run thru small swivels of commercial mini-14s. Ruger 10/22 and mini -14s have 1-Inch swivels so to avoid replacing those just run web without spring J-hook. If trouble fitting tabbed sling end thru small commercial swivel, fold tab 45 degress and it will pass thru mini-14 1-inch swiv's without having to change them out. AmmoGarand
