Blue Tees Golf Player+ AI-Powered GPS Speaker - Touchscreen Display, 10+ Hour Battery, 40,000+ Courses, Visual & Audible Distances, Hazard Detection, IPX7 Waterproof (Navy)

I recently got my hands on the Blue Tees Golf Player+ GPS Speaker with Touch Screen Display, and it’s quickly become a favorite on the course! This sleek, black, IPX7 waterproof device combines a high-quality Bluetooth speaker with advanced GPS functionality, making it a fantastic all-in-one tool for golfers who want precision and a bit of fun during their rounds. Setting up the Player+ was a breeze—pairing it with my phone via the Blue Tees Game App took just a few minutes, and it automatically recognized the course I was playing, thanks to its preloaded database of over 40,000 courses worldwide. However, mastering all the features, like navigating the touch screen menus and utilizing advanced analytics, does have a bit of a learning curve. It took me a couple of rounds to get comfortable with swiping through screens for hazard distances, drive tracking, and scorekeeping, but once I got the hang of it, the interface felt intuitive and responsive. The glass touchscreen is bright and clear, even in direct sunlight, which is a big plus. The GPS accuracy is impressive—I compared it to my rangefinder and GPS watch, and the Player+ was spot-on, providing precise front, center, and back yardages, as well as hazard distances. The audible distance callouts are a game-changer; with a tap of the action button, I could hear distances without taking my eyes off the course, which helped me stay focused on my shot selection. The dynamic hazard feature also gave me a clear picture of bunkers and water, making course management easier. Beyond its GPS capabilities, the sound quality is outstanding. The “Radical Deep Bass” and 360° audio deliver crisp, powerful sound that’s perfect for playing music without disturbing others on the course. The 10+ hour battery life easily lasted through two full rounds and then some, and I love that it doubles as a power bank with USB-C and USB-A ports to charge my phone. The magnetic strip is incredibly strong, securely attaching to the golf cart even on bumpy terrain, though I’ve heard rare cases of it slipping on extreme jolts, so I’m mindful of placement. My only slight gripe is the subscription for premium features like advanced analytics and hazard screens, which costs $49/year after the included one-year trial. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I wish more features were accessible without the extra cost. Still, for its price, the Player+ offers tremendous value, blending top-tier GPS functionality with premium audio. It’s durable, portable (about 3 pounds), and the IPX7 waterproofing gives me peace of mind in wet conditions—I even tested it after a brief dip in a puddle, and it worked perfectly. Overall, the Blue Tees Player+ is a must-have for golfers who want a reliable, feature-packed device that enhances both strategy and enjoyment on the course. It’s as accurate as my other trusted devices, easy to set up, and a blast to use once you master its features. Highly recommend for anyone looking to elevate their game with style.

Haven't been able to test the GPS functionality just yet, but the speaker sounds pretty good. The major issue is the Battery Level shown on the display. The promotional "review" video on their website and the downloadable PDF User Manual from the product's page (there is no physical copy of the User Manual included with the product, just a QR code telling you to download it instead) show screen captures displaying battery levels of 82% and 73%, respectively. Mine will only show 100% and 75% shortly after slight use. I spoke to their customer service who informed me that the device only displays battery levels of "100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 10% or LOW" however, their own advertising and documentation clearly conflict with this. 12/8/23 Update: After speaking further with BlueTees' customer support, including a personal follow-up from Management, I've changed my rating to the full 5 stars. Not only has BlueTees explained that the conflicting information was not intentional, but they have literally gone and updated their user manual for the Player+ GPS speaker on the product page of their website. This includes new screenshots of the specific battery levels and an explanation of the exact functionality (see attached image). Most companies don't even reply to emails concerning issues with their products in any real way, but BlueTees has been very receptive of my feedback, and diligent in taking real, observable steps to rectify any issues. This is incredibly rare, and companies who care about maintaining their brand equity are the ones who usually succeed and keep customers coming back (brand loyalty is very tough to achieve these days). Also, after my initial full charge of my Player+ speaker, the battery level is still showing to be at least above 50% after a considerable amount of usage at home. Still haven't been able to get out onto the golf course to test the GPS, but the speaker itself has great sound and is quite convenient for use around the house (shower tunes, amirite?). The onboard display is a great feature--being able to change settings (including brightness level), see the name of the track/artist, view the time of day, pause, skip tracks, restart the song, etc., makes this product stand out among a growing sea of portable Bluetooth speakers. The iPhone app is also very useful in further managing the functionality of the speaker. This is the first product I've purchased from BlueTees, but will probably not be the last. Always good to have a rangefinder on you when your buddy takes the cart OB to find their ball in the sticks.

Only used once so far impressed! Luv sound of the speaker and the range view. The magnet is strong No few of loosing it on rough terrain.

I had looked at getting a range finder for a long time and just wasn't impressed with any, plus the selection on Amazon is so big, it always seemed hard to find the right range finder. Well, look no longer, the Blue Tees is the one you want! First, it comes packaged like opening a brand new iPhone or Mac, nothing but high quality and class in the package. The speaker is deep and robust and can be heard well on the course. The user experience is so simple, the app is fantastic, easy to use and incredibly accurate. All my golfing buddies are jealous of this unit every time we play. The unit itself is made of such quality you can feel it in your hands with is robust and sturdy construction. The magnet works perfect! Attach it to your cart, you can hit roots, and bumps and it never budges! I also bought 3 years of the subscription for only $100, in my opinion that is well worth it, as you can take it to any course and be off the races!

Love it

Why did you pick this product vs others?: ****Update**** Do not buy this POS. It's bad enough you need an app which uses your phone to give GPS capabilities. But if you can't login to the app because of a spotty Internet connection you can't use the device for GPS. A total rip off and dumb design. If it wasn't outside the return window I'd be sending it back and getting something different. I first chose this for the combo speaker and GPS. But I was fooled by the marketing, nice job Blue Tees marketing team. **** Beware this is not a stand alone GPS product **** Functionality: Nearly useless as a GPS unit because it has no resident GPS antennas or hardware it relies on your phone. Even my old $89 Swami unit had the capability resident and for the money it costs for this unit it is ridiculous that it doesn't have that capability. The speaker is marginal at best my $24 Anker speaker works just as well. The GPS requires your phone location services to work and has to connect through their app which has annoying adds and is buggy. The speaker ran down on me and after that the app would not display the yardages on the speaker/screen. I had to remove, reinstall and setup everything all over to get it to work. Half the time the yardages won't update on the speaker screen unless you open your phone. In addition, the hole detection in the software is way too sensitive. Make sure you don't hit in another fairway on accident otherwise the unit will switch and give you the wrong yardages. Durability: Can't say, I've only used it a few rounds. So, far no scratches or issues, but I am really careful with the unit. Bluetooth connectivity: When using the unit as a just a speaker it seems to do well. The main purpose for the unit is GPS and it is marginal at best for that use due to the buggy app. Look: Aesthetically nice Sound quality: Decent quality sounds heavier on bass than most units. Accuracy: The accuracy of the unit depends on your phone since the unit does not have any GPS capabilities on it's on.

I bought this for my boyfriend for his birthday. He is an avid golfer and didn't have a range finder prior to this. He loves it, but sometimes the Bluetooth doesn't connect as it should, so it loses the range of where he is on the course. That frustrates him. He also wishes the volume buttons were located next to each other without the play/pause button in the middle. Otherwise, the sound quality is great from the speaker, and the functionality is great too.

My wife and I have had this cool gadget for a year now and we love it. Bought it for the speaker and it definitely delivers but the very accurate yardage is such a huge bonus. This whole time with zero issues whatsoever. If you are on the fence about this purchase rest in peace you will not regret it! I don’t even ever write reviews but felt compelled to because we just simply love this thing. We play a lot of golf courses in California and it grabs each one perfectly as we ride up to the first tee. One thing I don’t think reviewers bring up is also how quickly it charges. We joke about plugging it in and it throwing the charging cord back at us after 15 minutes. Pro tip: buy the optional case, leave it somewhere conspicuous in your trunk and you will never forget to grab it off the cart. And finally, we get a lot of compliments on it so just get it already. We love it.

Really great product. Sound quality is amazing. Using it on our fridge until golf season starts!

Got as a gift for my husband, and loves it! Plus the yards are super accurate! Also has a super strong magnetic so it never falls off the cart!

Subscription is 99 bucks for 3 years. So add that to the price still really nice sound and very accurate. Magnetic is strong. Must buy a screen protector. And other 50 bucks for 3. But if you’re spending that money. You want to protect it, in my opinion

Luv it!

Love my new speaker and looking forward to using it on the course soon!
