A kitchen gadget that I will keep on using - Sweeney Todd & Mrs Lovett, eat your heart out!!
This is an excellent pie maker!! Firstly, it makes two substantial sized pies. Let's just say I have a very healthy appetite and one pie is more than enough for me! You really don't need to pre-heat the pie maker before use, in fact I have found it better not to. Much easier to place the pastry into the pie-wells and push it into shape if the machine is not red hot, then plug it in and 15 mins later out come two perfectly shaped and cooked golden pies. You do need to have pre-cooked the filling first though, and I have found that fillings can be chilled but should not be frozen, as 15 mins is long enough to heat the filling but not to cook it. The non-stick surface is great, and if you wipe the moulds with a little oil before cooking the pies come out cleanly and very easily. Cleaning after is a breeze, as nothing sticks. The pastry cutting tool does seem to cut the bottom piece a bit too large, but it's very easy to use fingers to push the pastry back to the size of the pie wells, and the top piece fits perfectly. All in all I'm very impressed with this pie maker........

A great product.
Bought this as a present for my dad who has made several batches of pies with it. He loves it and we love the pies! He was sceptical because he normally makes his own pies in the oven but he loves the fact that this is so quick and easy. The pastry cooks evenly and holds lots of filling. It’s a great piece of kit. There are cheaper ones on the market but I was swayed by the reviews on here to spend a little bit more and was not disappointed.

Nice pies
Makes nice easy pies. We've found that you don't need to heat the machine beforehand. Just arrange the pastry, (shop bought puff pastry works well) add warm filling (don’t overfill) and switch on. The pies will cook fine in 10-15 minutes. (Lift lid and check!) Remember to rub some oil around the pie inserts beforehand and then the pies will easily slip out.

A handy little unit
As this was more than twice as expensive as some others . I was expecting a heat controller.and a timer. On the plus side it makes good fried and poached eggs .along with brilliant Yorkshire puds.it would be nice if you could've lifted the two moulds out to empty and clean

Really easy to use. A bit tricky to clean but worth the effort.

First time tryer
I have to say his was my first time making a pie. And I have to say I was amazed at how quick they take to cook. I would do a few minutes less or not use egg rub on top. Cleaning the machine is really quick and simple between use and the Machine gets cold very fast so that you can prepare the next batch. I would recommend this machine to anyone that asks.

As the hairy bikers would say love this so easy to use savoury or sweet many gadgets brought over the years only to take up room in cupboards have already used this several times highly recommended
