Q: What is the situation with delivery? This stuff is heavy! Will the driver carry/trolley the sand?

The driver delivered to my door.No problem. Please note that this sand is supplied wet. You may want to consider an alternative sand I now purchase patio sand which is supplied DRY so far better value. Hope this helps.

Q: Can I use it on a lawn

Yes. Spike the lawn and brush the sand well in so it penetrates the surface.

Q: Is this sand like lots of really really tiny stones like what you might find on a beach or in a sandpit?

It’s builders sand/sharp sand! Not recommend for use in sandpits or anything like that as it is more course, therefore sharper. If it’s something safer you’re looking for then - Jointing Sand – (aka Sea Sand, Silver Sand, Washed Sand or Beach Sand) is what you need! NOT this. Hope this helps :)
